Regal Plaza Beach Resort

Great location, right on the beach! The room rate was very reasonable for a Labor Day weekend. We stayed in a family suite with a separate bedroom, living room and full kitchen. Caveat, due to COVID you have to bring your own plates, cups, utensils, coffee etc. Check in was easy, no issues. You do need a $20 cash deposit for the room keys at check in. The hotel promptly refunded the $20 upon checkout. The room looked and smelled clean upon arrival. The only disappointment we had was with the air conditioner and the musty, damp smell. Once the air conditioner was running it smelled. The hotel is older and outdated, but overall, we were pleased with the room. It is a 3 star hotel as described. It is not a 4 star so don't expect that. The room was very spacious and we took advantage of using the kitchen for meals because most of the restaurants had a 2 hr wait for breakfast, lunch and dinner so it was easier to cook in the room. We went food shopping at the Acme located about 2 miles from the hotel. Everything was close by. There is a "Jamaican me hungry" restaurant onsite. The breakfast was excellent. Although, we had to wait about 45+ mins to be seated. Parking was okay, but can be frustrating. One day there was no spots left because of non-guests parking. The hotel does enforce with police giving tickets. Hotel was accommodating and told us to park in the staff spot or in front until a spot opened and they would pay for any parking tickets. The overall experience was ok. The room was clean, the pool was the best part. The room i booked only had a fridge, no microwave or coffee machine. The room was very humid. In order to keep out the humidity I had to keep the AC on at all times, at a very low temp. The room would benefit from a dehumidifier. My clothing and bedsheets always felt wet and cold. The AC unit also leaked, I had to use a trash can to contain the water. The TV reception was also very poor, NBC had no sound. It felt like I was watching TV during the 90s. The hotel provides BBQ stations for their guests by the pool, which we used a lot. Only down part was that the area closed at 7PM since it was poolside. The beds were comfortable and the balacony facing the ocean was beautiful, very quiet area.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable. Definitely coming back.

This is in a great location in a nice part of wildwood crest. The jamaica me hungry restaurant was not really good, just average. That said, it was convenient. Rooms were clean with big fridge. A bit dated but OK. Pool was excellent! Service was excellent as well. Only things to point out were lack of enough parking spots when at full capacity. Also, they asked guests to bring their own disposable plates, forks, spoons, etc due to covid but for price they charge they should have supplied these items. Definitely look forward to staying again next year!

We only stayed one night because we wanted to extend a trip we already had planned and they happened to have the night available. Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. We didn’t check out the other amenities due to the short stay but we’d definitely consider staying again.

George was beyond accommodating, as was the rest of the staff. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay, and look forward to coming back as soon as we can!

Was clean but felt damp. Very quiet and convenient spot.

Thought I was getting a room with a kitchenette, it was just a regular hotel room. There was NO coffee machine in the room, any hotel/motel I stayed at, always supplied one

The only issue we had was no coffee maker in room. We had to buy a small one for us to use. All else was great!
