Azul Paradise Bocas Town

The lobby is very welcoming and so is the staff. It is centrally located which is great but also make it noisy. We did not have hot water and the sink was just a trickle. Our room was fairly clean but I thought the toilet and bathroom area could’ve been cleaner. The chemicals used to mop the floor were also very strong. We checked in early which could have lead to the strong smell and not as clean of a room. Overall I thought this place was VERY overpriced for the location and amenities. Breakfast was NOT included nor was the bar/restaurant open for service. We stayed at a nicer, cleaner hotel in the area on the Beach which included breakfast, had wonderful food and drinks and was $100 less per night.

This is a exclusive hotel for Panama City, great a/c, it has tv, although we didn’t use it. Nice patio over looking the town where we spent a lot of time people watching. One of the nicest places in the city, but remember it is still 3rd world.

First night loud music till 4 am , couldn’t sleep. Bathroom and shower have no separation to room, no privacy, also no shower curtains , so water splashed all over, after taking to the front desk, they gave me towels to put on the floor. 2 md day Room was not cleaned when we came back at 6 pm. All in all, not a good experience, will not stay at this Hotel Again.

Location is great, and the view we had from our balcony room was amazing. Everything else was somewhere between ok and bad. Toilet didn’t flush, and there isn’t a door that separates your toilet from the bedroom. Water didn’t get hot. Check in took an hour because the woman at the front needed to go get fresh towels from somewhere else. Cabinets didn’t work well and there were walls and ceiling patches everywhere. Front desk was not informative on anything in town. Had I paid half the price of what I did, I’d be fine with it. For what I paid, I’m quite disappointed. Not luxurious at all, just an attempt to check the boxes at all things.

Perfect and as described

We had a fantastic one night stay at this hotel. We were worried the room would not be as clean or comfortable as described as often can happen but were pleasantly surprised! We would recommend it as a perfect hotel to spend a few days in Bocus, the bed was very comfortable and the friendliness and service of the staff was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

I had a terrible experience with the Azul Paradise in Bocas Town. I had a reservation via Expedia for the best room in this hotel, the Penthouse City and Ocean View Room, 1.076 sqft. The images looked glorious. When we arrived there was nobody, except a guy lying on the sofa watching TV. He was in total disbelief that we had a reservation. He did not bother to welcome us or ask us to have a little patience. After 15 min he looked up from his computer: "We have a reservation! But it is for a King Room with town view". I said that can't be. I showed him my Expedia confirmation. He was not even mildly interested. "No, I have a reservation for a King Room. Let me show you the room". We went up (no interest in helping with our luggage). The room was much smaller than the one I had booked, facing the town (which is an eyesore) and had big stains on the carpet. I refused to move into this room. I said I insist to receive the room I had booked. He said that was impossible, the room was already occupied. Expedia tried to get in touch with the hotel manager (which took another 30 min…). The response was that we should move into the ugly room for the 1st night and could move into our suite as of the 2nd night. We refused to do that and booked another hotel. After 2 hours I got an email from the hotel manager, that the suite was now available. How is that possible? Were they lying in the 1st place? Or did they ‘throw out’ other guests? I hope nobody else has to go through this.
