Best stay yet. Good location. Staff were lovely Yummy breakfast

Bologna is a great place for food and wine. The hotel is close to the train station (1.2km) and a short walk to all the attractions in the old town area. Being a town with a big university there were a couple of local bars that seemed to party on late, but we didn’t hear a thing in our room. The room was very modern in a steampunk style, but not over done. Great amenities, with everything you could want. The breakfast supplied in your room was very good and certainly covered off most items. The staff at check in were very helpful and provided all the information we needed. Special mention to Jimmy.

We stayed here for 2 nights, it was out best stay on our 10 day trip. The room was well designed and well thought out. Clean, simple design and colours, great attention to paintwork, high-quality reclaimed furniture, it was stylish and quirky. The bathroom was great, clean and well thought out. Very large sink. Hygiene labels on toilet. Some small shampoos and soap, as well as a hairdryer, and towels. The shower had plenty of pressure and space. It was a pleasure to use. The fridge was stocked with juice, water, and yoghurts. These were all free and replenished daily. Breakfast baskets are provided to you ready for the morning so that you’re not disturbed. Bread, granola, some biscuits, and a ham and cheese platter, and some milk. The tea facilities were great! The tea facilities are important to me. There was also a coffee machine. TV was large, modern, and of a good brand. The speed of the internet plus a good TV meant we could have a night in and stream Netflix easily. On the whole, I wish I could take that room and bring it home with me. It can get busy with students and a few bars outside, but don’t let this worry you. It’s very silent in the room. The girl we met that checked us in initially was lovely. She called a restaurant for us on request to book a table. On leaving Bologna, we walked passed her on our way to the station. She recognised us and stopped and asked how we found it. It was a sweet end to our stay that made us feel cared about as customers.

The steam room was clean comfortable with lovely touches, coffee maker, fridge, kettle, milk warmer and smart T.V. so could get English channels.

was a little surprised when we arrived and saw the building and the stairway going up to the hotel. once inside, the rooms are nice. located in restricted zone, can't drive to hotel - must unload luggage at street corner, short walk to hotel.

We had two nights at the Steam House and would be happy to stay there again. We had a downstairs suite (two rooms plus bathroom) which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the student quarter on a very lively street but the walls are so thick that the room itself was perfectly quiet. Breakfast is self service and delivered to the room (in the fridge) the day before. This might not suit everyone, but it worked very well for us and there was lots of it. The staff were lovely and allowed us to keep the key on the last morning until midday so we got a last morning in the city.

Only stayed the one night. Did find it hard to no were to park and then walking around with graffiti everywhere, where a little worried about what we had booked. Once finding the tight number, ringing the bell, was then greeted by a lovely young woman who gave us a little map and marked on it the best place to park. We moved car and checked in. The room was absolutely perfect, the decor the mini fridge full of bottles of water, juices and yogurts ready for breakfast. Tea and coffee in the room. A breakfast basket was then put in the room while we were out, full of goodies. Totally not what we expected from the outside, amazing.
