Troyka Hotel Moscow

The location is great. Good value for the money. Good helpful accommodating staff. Good breakfast. Since it is an old historical building, the aeration system is not as efficient as the new buildings. During our stay, we could open the window, but in summer it may not be a feasible option.

Great proximity to red square and the touristy places to visit... Good breakfast included...

This hotel has a great location and courteous staff. Don't expect any frills though, amenities and breakfast are basic.

This hotel is very reasonably priced, in fact quite cheap considering the location is so good. It's very near the Kremlin and Red Square which are within easy walking distance. The nearest Metro station is about 10 minutes' walk away. Our room was cheap, but had no windows! But we soon got used to our "dungeon" and it was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast available at a small cost.

Clean, tidy and functional. The room had no window and was quite compact. No major drama but the air con needed to be on which meant the atmosphere was very dry. Not too bad as I spent very little time in the room.

The only problem was that it didn’t smell good on the bathroom. I think it came out the toilet

Absolutely worth every penny to get the business double room with Landmark View. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view of Red Square and the Kremlin. Maria at the front desk allowed us to check in early and even printed off our train tickets for us free of charge and with a smile. The service was fantastic by the entire staff and English was enough for all of our needs. Literally a short walk across a bridge places you right in the heart of Red Square. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay while I’m Moscow.

The hotel is in a fabulous location in Moscow, only a short walk over the bridge to Red Square. However, the rooms are definitely basic, and compact. If this is an issue for you? There may be problems. If however you just want a base in the thick of it all? I’d recommend!

I've stayed twice at this hotel as it is centrally located within walking distance of the Red Square, GUM, and other attractions. The hotel is very clean, the staff is super friendly, and all of them speak English. The TV signal sometimes didn't come through but I didn't go there to watch TV. They stopped providing water bottles however they do have water machines around the floors to fill up your water bottle. The breakfast is really good and there is a good variety each day. Overall, this is a really good hotel to spend some days at.
