Mango Bellana Boutique Hotel

This is a very pleasant small hotel, and a lot of thought has been given to it's unique architectural design. There are three floors in all, the ground floor has a nice open courtyard with a dining area and adjoining small attractive pool area. There are about 12 rooms in all, all different shape and style, and so each with an individual character. My room was spacious and modern, with very good lighting and all nicely designed with a good large modern bathroom. The local area is quite fine, very peaceful compared to the very noisy and traffic affected town centre. Transport is no problem, always available for a cheap 5 minute ride to all of the town centre attractions. Also all kinds of restaurants are close by, and many cheerful roadside restaurants are easily found if you want this end of the of the local cuisine. But notably for the local area, there is a daily street market only about 200 metres from the hotel, selling absolutely everything from designer label fashion to exotic fruit, fish, and other fresh produce and any gifts or local cool refreshments The staff were excellent, very helpful and obliging at all times, and the room service girls always very kindly waited until I had rested ok during the morning, before coming to then clean my room. Yes a very nice stay, and I would definitely return here as all was really excellent, a really nice small well run hotel, and certainly all very good value for what I paid to be there.

The first room we stayed in, the A/C barely cooled the room and the bathroom water pressure was extremely weak. The faucet was just a tricle and the shower stopped randomly while I was showering. I asked them to fix and after 2 days, both A/C and water were not fixed despite an attempt by the maintenance person. Finally, they moved us to a bigger and better room but it was already our last day in Phnom Penh.

We loved the welcome, the nice cool room and friendly staff. This is our favorite place so far in all but one way. The breakfast needs some help. Get some lovely cooked options and perhaps fresh fruit and you will truly be exceptional in ALL areas!
