Horus Guest House Pyramids View

What a nice relaxing time. We were in the mist of a movie set.. Stepping back in the times of the horses and camels and carriages.The smells, The hustle and bustle, the sounds of the prayers. Loved it all. Very cultural.

Great view of the pyramids especially from the roof top. Free light show every night. Awesome shopping on site at best prices I found. They go above and beyond in any request we had. Free water is awesome and saves lots of money. Area looks a little rough but then again so does Cairo.

True pyramid views from several rooms and from the upstairs deck. We were able to watch the light show at night from the deck. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. They provided snacks and water and were willing to help with anything we needed. They showed true hospitality and wanted to carry our luggage up and down the stairs for us (hotel rooms on the top floor). They book tours and our second day they had the most amazing guide for us. Our day started early and the owner came early to make sure we had breakfast before we left. I would stay here again.

Walking up to the roof top - to eat breakfast or after a long day of seeing the sights - while overlooking these pyramids is simply the BEST. The place is clean, the beds are comfy, and I felt safe here. It was literally my reprieve from all the greedy camel/horse/tour guides trying to squeeze another dollar out of me. I would tell them to get out of my view, so they couldn't charge me for being in my photo! BTW, be prepared for the smell of horse/camel piss/dung, it's everywhere. The breakfast is simple and not very appetizing, but I don't really do carbs, so... if you like falafels, bread & pre-wrapped soft cheese, it's great. More fruit would be great, besides the banana - everyone gets one. My friend who was tricked into staying at Mondi Apts via the LIES they promise, ended up coming here, after one horrible night at Mondi. He didn't get his money back from them. In the end, we decided to leave 4 days early, to check out Sharm IL Sheik, and Horus GH refunded me a couple of those nights, which they did NOT HAVE to do, so that was very nice. GOOD PEOPLE! Also, ask for Sheriff at the Lucky Bizarre in the Sphinx Square, he's super cool, he speaks good English and help with any problems, can answer questions or set you up to do cool stuff. 밤 늦게 도착하자마자 매우 신속한 체크인이 가능하고요. 너무 더운 날씨에 목이 많이 말랐는데, 시원한 과일쥬스와 미네랄워터를 웰컴드링크로 준비해놨더군요. 저희는 큰배낭 1개와 큰 트렁크 2개가 있었는데, 방까지 운반해주셨어요. 물론 체크아웃때도 우버택시 트렁크안까지 운반해 주셨고요. 일단, 객실에 대해 설명하자면 요르단과 이집트 여행 통틀어서 제일 클린했고요. 샤워실도 따로 넓직한 공간에서 핫샤워 할수 있어요. 뜨거운 물 완전 콸콸콸~~~ 그리고, 세수수건과 목욕타월은 따로 비닐팩에 깔끔하게 포장해서 제공된답니다. 침대보와 베게커버도 화이트 화이트하고요. 그 담으로, 조식은요. 모닝빵과 아랍 걸레빵과 팔라펠이 버터, 치즈, 무화과잼, 허니와 함께 제공됩니다. 드링크는 미네랄워터, 과일쥬스, 핫커피가 제공되고요. 빵은 무한리필이구요.ㅎㅎ 맛은 그냥 무난하고요. 아참, 매일 바나나도 줬네요. ㅋㅋ 저희는 3일 묵었는데, 가족경영 호텔이라서 그런지 모든 스태프들이 엄청 어마무시하게 친절합니다. 이따금 미안할 정도로요. 특히, 프론트에서 디나 (dina)를 찾으세요. 영어도 잘하고 참 싹싹한 20세 이집션 아가씨랍니다. 이틀째날 저희엄마가 과로로 몸살이 나셔서 가져간 한국음식을 덥히기 위해 호스텔 간이주방을 이용하게 되었는데, 스태프 2명이 번갈아가며 30분동안 여러가지로 도와주셨어요. 저희 엄마도 많이 고마워하셨어요. 호러스 호스텔에서 피라밋 티켓 오피스까진 걸어서 2~3분정도 거리고요. 호스텔에서 kfc와 pizza hut와 차이니즈 레스토랑까진 도보로 2분정도고요. 주변에 슈퍼도 3곳이나 있어요. 마지막으로 루프탑에 대해 말씀드리자면 이집트와 요르단과 이스라엘 통틀어 베스트 오브 베스트입니다. 바로 코앞에 아무 장애물없이 피라밋이 똿~~~ 넓은 스페이스와 쇼파들~~ 엄청 깔끔하고. 와이파이도 빵빵하고요. 조식도 루프탑에서 제공된답니다. 제가 또 giza에 간다면 당연히 호루스에서 묵을꺼예요. 100점 만점에 99점입니다. 강추합니다. -- 분당에 사는 40대 아줌씨 ---

We booked this guest house on our last night and we watched the light and sound show from the rooftop. The guest house is super super super clean and the staff go out of they way to provide exceptional service. Every time they see you they offer you water or juice, they do not penny-pinch at all. We told that they we would be leaving late in the evening and would not be staying for breakfast and their reply the reply was that would provide us a snack box. When we come down to checkout, the snack bag was amazing, it was a full massive carrier bag with crisps, chocolates, cakes and drinks. Again, they gave us some more juice and water. Never seen service like this before. The bathroom was clean, the towels were all in sealed plastic bags which were fresh and clean. Don’t stay anywhere else ! The area in the front of the hotel looks rundown but is intact safe, I turned left out of the guesthouse and went to get a takeaway pizza from Pizza Hut which is directly in front of the Sprinx, it was dark but I felt safe walking there and back.

Unlimited free water and juice, unmatched hospitality and an amazing view of the pyramids... what else can you ask for!

The staff,service,location ,and cleanliness were very good. The TV did not work and there was no telephone in the room.

The staff was very hospitable and helpful and spoke very good English. So accommodating to all my needs and easy to communicate with. Great service. Thank you Horus GH.
