Bungalow Beach Resort

My husband and I spent 4 nights for our anniversary. I was really searching for a place where we could distance ourselves due to Covid. This was the place. Our Bungalow was cute, but really could use some upgrading. The ac is window units that are loud and don’t work well. The coffee table was a plastic outdoor table that was not level, so my drink wobbled on it. It was impossible for us both to get comfortable on love seat so we had to sit on our beach chair in living room. This place was really clean and the staff was friendly, and the beach amazing.

This place is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. It has an old island feel. The view from our room was a million dollar view. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the island. If you want tons of people, shops and restaurants, this is not the place for you. There is plenty of places to eat but you need to get in your car or walk a few miles. If you want a beautiful and peaceful place to vacation this is definitely the place to go! We can’t wait to go back!

The beach-front location was perfect. Rooms are pretty. There are always plus and minuses to an historic property.

The cabin i stayed in walked right out to beach. We also had a outside firepit that we used each night and others from their cabins joined us.

The location is excellent but the "Palm Tree" bungalow we stayed has a "built in" bathroom that is not really separated from the room and a noisy AC unit. The reality for this specific unit is a bit different from what the pictures show. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly.

Clean and comfortable, perfect in every aspect. Very romantic with an incredible view of the ocean. Priceless!!!

Bungalow Beach Resort is in a fantastic location right on the beach in a beautiful and easy-to-find part of Bradenton. Our bungalow room was clean and bright with a large bed and pull-out sofa bed (just what we anticipated). The check in process was a bit time consuming, and management directed us to park our second vehicle in a free lot at the Holmes Beach Public Access about a mile away. We did this and walked back to the bungalow. After we unpacked and settled in, we noticed a couple of small issues with the appliances, the frig, the latch on the back patio gate, the toilet, etc. We didn't complain because we were on "family time" with our kids and we didn't want to waste a minute of it. It wasn't until our toilet completely quit working that we said something (caution, SPOILER ALERT coming) We were told that it couldn't be repaired until after the entire holiday weekend with our family was over (in the interest of good customer service, however, they DID give us a bucket to fill the toilet bowl from the kitchen sink in case we had an emergency!) Unfortunately, there's more. Remember where they told us to park our second vehicle? (and remember we walked a mile to do it) We were slapped with a $50 parking ticket for that, and when we mentioned this at checkout, we were told in a huff that "management isn't here" and it was our problem, not theirs. The placement of the property sitting low on the ground and somewhat hidden behind sea grass was charming as compared to high rise complexes with no landscaping just beach chairs.
