Hampton Inn by Hilton Detroit Dearborn

The hotel was in a good location - very walkable, but there were issues - the bathroom grout was very dirty both on the floor and in the shower. Also - there were no dressers or anywhere to put clothes except in the closet. The bathroom door didn't close all the way or lock - so there was a lack of privacy. We will not be staying in this hotel again when in the Dearborn area. We expected better from Hilton.

Close to the Henry Ford Museum. Sadly pool was being serviced and there is no hot tub. Breakfast right now is a sad bag but that is not the hotel’s fault.

One of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in! Looks like the room was recently renovated. Great water pressure in the shower as well.

We stay there at least 2 or 3 times a year when visiting my mom and this last visit was nothing like the others. Starting from checkin when the front desk guy kept letting his mask fall down or he’d take it down to talk. I understand the breakfast bar is not an option right now but then why am I paying the same rate as always for a hotel that includes breakfast? The breakfast bags we got were literally the same thing every single day. The same un ripe oranges, water, breakfast cake and cereal bar. Towards the end they must have been running out - the last day was just water, and 2 cereal bars. On top of all this, there was no liquid creamer for the coffee and one time the coffee was literally cold. My husband had to microwave it in our room. The bathroom floor was also quite dirty. The towel we used for the floor mat was brown on the side touching the ground. In addition there was a dark liquid splashed on the wall by the bathroom door going out to the room as well as other stains on the wall around the toilet... and we had our toddler. I am honestly not one to complain or write negative reviews but this was just not a great experience. We left very disappointed and we spent several nights there. We ended up having to book an extra night - luckily we didn’t have to change rooms though. I really like this hotel and the location is just fantastic but they need to step their game up.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Our only problem was how they handled breakfast to accommodate social distancing (in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic). I went down to the lobby at 8:30am to get the bagged continental breakfast only to find that they only had ONE breakfast left. The front desk told me that they make only a limited number of bags and that they are give out first-come-first-served. The breakfast is only enough food for one person and there were three in my group and that was at 8:30am! I'm sure plenty of people after me were far more disappointed when they found no breakfast. This needs to be handled differently since breakfast is included in the room fee.
