Dukes Folly Hotel

Definitely not a deluxe room, it was pokey and was 2 single beds pushed together. Designer toiletries yet we only had half a bottle of hand wash. Didn't receive any breakfast as we were told we could come down at half 10 and when we did they refused to serve is. Walls are paper thin aswell. Very disappointed.

The hotel was clean and we stayed in a double room. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and we enjoyed it so much we have booked to stay there again.

Beautiful quirky room with great facilities. Wonderful staff that couldn't do enough for you. Lovely quality food and reasonable bar prices.

Absolutely superb hotel (the oldest in Southport, but certainly doesn't look or feel like it!) Wonderful service, spacious room in room 21, centrally located and very reasonably priced. We'll be back!

Nice place clean plenty of hand sanitizer around downstairs, my only complaint was nobody was wearing masks even when serving food

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean (apart from dirt around the bottom of the shower door)and quite spacious but are looking a little tired. The bed was comfy but a bit on the small side for a double, we didn’t get any sleep though as we were on the 1st floor & all the other residents had to walk past our rooms to get to theirs,the footsteps on the creaky floorboards was bad enough & then there was the banging of the fire door as well. For breakfast we didn’t want a full English so asked for scrambled egg on toast, what we got was a tiny bit of cold scrambled egg in the middle of a big plate & no toast, we had to use the toast that had been provided for jam on toast 15 minutes earlier. Wasn’t worth the £120 we paid considering the premier inn was only £57 but was fully booked for the 2 days we were in Southport.

On check in was given a small attic room when I put a review on Hotel.com was offered a larger room all unpacked to late, if bigger rooms where available why given a small room with a kettle which could not be filled in the smallest sink i have ever seen, i had trouble washing my face in the sink it was so small, also no shaver point in the bathroom. The room was also not cleaned or coffee refilled during our stay overall it was a nice hotel but let down by the room.
