BO - Bolhão Apartments

I stay here every time I visit Porto. Its in the best location with plenty of shops and restaurants and 1 block from the metro.

Thanks Joana for an amazing stay. Comfortable room very spacious, comfortable bed We didn’t use the kitchen facilities. The apartment has a phone for use while you’re there with 30 mins of international calls per day, while we didn’t think we’d use that we called our elderly fathers who don’t have smart phones. The phone also has personalised apps with restaurant recommendations giving phone numbers for reservations as well as map directions- it nearly went flat after a day out and about. Joana was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you- she even wanted to escort me to the local post office for stamps just so I found it. She directed us to the BEST Portuguese tarts that were close by and they were amazing. Parking is close by and there are a few options. The market over the road is being renovated but only during day hrs and didn’t impact our stay at all. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: Joana and staff were excellent. They will help with bags and provide a map of the city, note where to eat, tour, etc. Any time we had a question it was answered quickly. You'll be given an android cell with up to 60 mins of free calls each day (very nice!), some tour/hotspot apps and recommendations, etc, and internet access, but it was restricted from full use like your personal cell. WiFi is provided on property, with one hotspot for each floor. Room was very clean. Cons: There is no elevator, we had to walk up 80 stairs to the loft. There's no AC or windows for air circulation in the hallways, so you'll be winded and sweaty every time you enter and go up to your room (I'm in shape, and it's still quite a slog in the stuffy hallways, especially carrying luggage). There's no clothes washer or dryer. WiFi for the top floor was very spotty (1-2 bars), it would go in and out on all our devices no matter what time of day. The large market across the street won't be done for at least another year, there's a lot of construction and the road in front of the apt is blocked off. You can drive a rental onto a portion of the road, but you can't park - that's a few blocks away, they charge 10 euro/day. There are seagulls/birds who create a HUGE amount of noise throughout the entire night, right outside the top floor windows - bring earplugs or you won't get much sleep.

I’ve been traveling the world for sixty years. And never have I experienced such a welcoming place. On the practical side the location is great very close to all the attractions but away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend Patrick USA

Excellent location , reception was very kind and helpful with lots of information about the places to visit , appliances in the apartment. Very cosy and lovely unit . Only downside - the mobile aircon is very noisy

The staff at the apartment was very friendly, helpful and genuinely nice people who were always ready to answer any question we had or help us with any issue. We had the loft. It was spacious, clean and more than met our needs. The apartments are conveniently situated across from the market and not far from the waterfront. We would go back and stay there again!

Helpful staff. Very clean and well equipped. Yet it's not so good for those carry big luggages as there is no lift! Also, the shower water was not strong enough.

We stayed in the standard loft apartment. It was a perfect base for exploring the city. The room was well maintained and the staff very helpful. Joanne was fantastic and offered us lots of advice about what to see and do. The apartment was well equipped, kitchen and TV facilities excellent. Will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely excellent!! They were very friendly and helpful and the apartments were very clean and modern. Very well located next to the metro (direct link to airport) and close walk to lots of places to see. Thanks!!
