The Lincklaen House

We had a wonderful room on the second floor ,it was very clean and kept up well. Dinner was delicious and the dining room had a very nice warm atmosphere.

I loved this hotel. Lots of character, lobby with fireplace, tavern, elegant restaurant, and great pizza in the basement.

The Lincklaen House is a charming hotel in the heart of the small town of Cazenovia. We stayed here for a college tour for my daughter, and enjoyed our stay. We arrived a little early and they got our room ready for us early so we could drop our stuff and explore the area. We ate in the pub in the basement for lunch, the food and service there were excellent!

Historically beautiful. Center of town. Nearby to plenty of places to eat.

The staff was all extremely friendly and following covid guidelines. The hotel was extremely clean and smelled fresh. The beds were extremely comfortable and it felt like being at home. While the bathroom was dated in style, it was also extremely clean and everything worked well. Food at the establishment was fresh, well prepared and service was great.

Not happy. There is a big difference between charming decor and just old worn out stuff. The carpeting/especially the stairs was not vacuumed and noticeably dirty. The staff however were charming and friendly. The beds and pillows were wonderfully comfortable.

Lovely night spent at this lovely Inn. They had the main dining room for a romantic or more formal meal, an outside terrace with a tavern menu along with full entree dishes and full special meals. We sat outside on the terrace which was heated with the propane heat lamps. Dinner was delicious, I had the seafood bisque and the 4oz filet, hubby had the large angus burger. We both were highly satisfied with our meals. There is also a pizza menu and room service if you want. We didn’t make it down to the tavern (we don’t drink) but once the terrace is too cold that is where we would have gone. The Inn keeps the rooms empty for 72 hours before the next guess arrives. They followed all the covid 19 laws/rules to protect visitors. As a frequent traveler, I highly suggest this Inn.

Beautiful, historic building. Staff was very friendly, even gave us the history of the building and let us look around since we were the only guest at the time. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel still uses an actual key! Highly recommended!

My daughter met me there and after looking at the room decided we would not be staying. There was miscommunication when I booked online and then tried to change the booking on the phone when I learned my daughter would be staying with me. We ended up with a pullout gift the second bed and it was not comfortable fir either of us. They said it was fine that we cancel our reservation, and I wad grateful fir that. I was there for a funeral and did not want more stress. Since I booked online I was afraid I would have a problem and find I was billed by the company handling online bookings.
