Almarossa

Wonderful hotel right in the centre of everything. Fantastic breakfast ! Very helpful staff !

The Almarossa is excellent except for one major drawback - in our room, at least. We were in a standard room on the 2nd floor, just near the intersection of two busy streets. The traffic noise was loud - Bologna buses particularly so! People noise was also loud on the Saturday night. Unfortunately the window does not do a great job of blocking the noise, so ear plugs were essential. Everything else about the hotel was excellent.

I was nervous about staying in Bologna because the hotel options seemed slim. i was excited to find Almarossa, however, because it was big, in the center of town and seemed comfortable. We arrived in town around 12:00 on a Sunday and were able to retrieve our keys from a mailbox in the lobby. Because of this, check in was a breeze, which I was thankful for after a morning of traveling. The apartment itself was large, nice and clean. It was very comfortable with large windows, a fridge, stove, etc. My only complaints were that the bathroom fan wasn’t so loud it made me dread going into that room, and that we were only given one roll of toilet paper in addition to the half roll left by the other guests. Although I’m sure they would have given us another, we were out until late and no one was there when we returned. The staff while checking in formally was really lovely. Side note: The laundry is in the basement. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked the hotel cause it was advertised as a 4 stars hotel, however when we arrived there was no doorman, no bellman, no front office. It was an AirBNB style apartment. It was super disappointing, this was nothing similar to what we were expecting. Again it wasn't even close to an apart hotel, was a furnished apartment.

Although a bit far from the centre of the old city, it was a reasonable walk. The grocery store next door was convenient for buying breakfast and snack foods. The staff were very helpful and had some good suggestions. There was some street noise but ear plugs were provided.

Out skirts of city is very seedy but hotel was great

We had a one night stay in Bologna and our stay in Almarossa was wonderful. The guy who checked us in was very sweet and even arranged a bag of breakfast goodies as we were leaving early in the morning. The rooms (we had two) were spotless, the beds were very comfy, our rooms were quiet, the shower really good. Would happily stay here again next time we're in Bologna

The apartment was fantastic. It had everything we needed for our stay and the air conditioning was very welcome. All of the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. If we come back to Bologna, we will be staying here again.

Amazingly helpful staff, very pleasant hotel, clean and convenient. Loved it!
