Sunset Inn Hotel

The staff at the hotel served my breakfast at the time i requested and also called me a taxi cab at the time i requested. The staff was also helpful with my bags in loading them in the taxi.

The staff were very professional and friendly,the supervisor she was the best,I have been staying there for 4 yes now two times per,,I wouldn't want to go nowhere else to stay,I feel like I'm at home,

Convenient location. Easy access to New Kingston. Need more amenities like a bar and iron in each room.

It would be nice to have amenities, but the staff is very helpful . It would be nice to have restaurants close by or have a restaurant in the hotel.

Location was just right and the customer service was great and staff and breakfast was excellent,hotel housing accommodation needs an upgrade.(rooms only).

There was nothing to like. Sheets were dirty and unwashed with visible stains. There was no member of the house keeping staff available to Chang the linens and the breakfast promised was canceled because of the holiday. The room was dusty. smoke detector was inoperable. The light (1) in the room was dimmed and we were told to turn on television for more light. The night tables were absent lamps.There was no switch in the bathroom to operate the light. I used my phone for visibility. THIS PLACE WAS A DUMP. I HOPE I DONT HAVE to SUE TO GET A REFUND

It is not worth the price. Too expensive compared to the facilities offered.

Here was no remote to adjust the air conditioner so it was either on or off. We had to borrow an iron because none was in the room which is fine, however, the iron face was dirty due to a built up of water deposits. Complimentary breakfast was served only to my boyfriend instead of both of us and was available not during breakfast hours but around lunch. The mat in the bathroom smelled musty as though it had not been changed for a while so it was a bit uncomfortable. Overall, it was an unwelcoming experience even for an inn but it was doable for 4 days 3 nights.

This is a solid, basic hotel. Great value. After I gave a frowning face* to a 3-question survey from expedia - they immediately called me up and asked how they could make it right and also offered to switch rooms. My reason for initial rating was noise - both from AC and conversation/music from outside since part of the windows don't fully close (they are shutters). To be fair, I had a much quieter experience than my colleague who stayed at the Knutsford Court (much nicer hotel) which had a large youth sports team. Room was fine and clean. Bed was comfortable. No default amenities beyond soap & towels. No gym/pool/safe/hairdryer. Internet was slow for accessing work servers, but fine for internet call. I asked for and got extra hangers and an extension cord. They also offered an iron/ironing board but I didn't need it. Cute cat. Neighborhood felt safe. One of the guards (older) was a bit creepy. I'm pretty sure a sex worker propositioned another guard ~11pm, but innocuous. Breakfast was tasty, albeit spicy & served in room, which was fine, but a little more hassle as you need to tell the staff your breakfast time and food choice (omelette or fish + cabbage/ackee or chicken stew) in advance. As I am trying to reduce my waste, I didn't like that breakfast was served in plastic to-go boxes with tea/coffee in styrofoam cups, especially as I was told there is no recycling. Also annoying that you have to pay an extra 100 JMD for bottled water instead of juice/tea.
