Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza

The location and decor of this property are absolutely amazing! For people coming for a quick break, this is the perfect spot - minutes from the old town restaurants and shops along with being a short cab ride to the clubs. Staff were wonderful and happily moved us to the 3rd floor when we arrived. Additionally they granted us a late checkout which was ideal since we had an evening flight. One thing I will say is there is a very strong smell through the hotel and especially in the lobby. That is my only criticism. Whether it’s to do with the plumbing or if the room spray is being pumped too much, I’m not sure but I found it offensive when walking in and out of the lobby each day. The smell didn’t persist on our floor or in the room. If you’re in Ibiza and want to be able to explore then definitely hire a car. We did not and found that we were missing the ability to easily see new things.

Everything was very good. The only thing it missed was a pool, spa and if you have an evening flight they should have a courtesy room so you can change etc but we were told they don’t have that facility.

This is one of my favourite hotels but i am very disappointed a pre payment was taken without my consent off a card i do not have permission for personal payments on (business only). I was expecting to pay full amount at the property and now have the hassle of sorting this out after my trip! Also when i checked out i asked to book again but they were nearly 30% more than online- very poor service and the man couldn't match it! I have therefore booked another hotel for my next trip back in 2 weeks

We like everything about the property. Awesome rooms. great check in. Staff were eager to help with our questions and needs. Close to the water and shopping.

Sympathetic and stylish treatment of an Evissa landmark.

Hotel and staff were amazing. Would have been nice to know that 90% of stores and hotel on the island close for winter. When searching, hotels said sold out, not closed.

Hotel overall excellent. Restaurant menu is difficult and not very international.

Montesol is nice but it shouldn't really be a 5 star hotel, the standards aren't great - slow service, room not ready to check in at 4pm, quality of finish in the room a bit shoddy and not super clean. You can see that being owned by Hilton it's too much of a chain for a small hotel - would be better as a boutique 4 star with an actual owner on site to make sure standards are kept high. On the plus side, the design and overall look of the place is good and it's a fantastic location

First class location. There is a new hotel being built about 50 yards away . Can be a little noisy early on in the morning but didn’t get out of hand

Excellent position in the centre of town. Everything is within walking distance, room very comfortable breakfast good choice.
