Victoria's Historic Inn

Had to clean and wipe room. Mold in the shower jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was high and hard to get into and the shower was there also. Requested clean glasses and was given new ones. Gentleman made a scene by having to inspect the glasses in front of us.. Requested the lock to be repaired. Said sure but was not done when we returned. Basically the lock did not secure the room

great location-lovely old house-great breakfast. Rooms are getting a bit down trodden. Some monies need to go into up dating bathrooms, having coffee in room and little fridge would be nice.

The room was sweet, could use a deep cleaning. Many cob webs/dust bunnies behind doors and along trim. The grounds were atrocious. There is a lot of work needed, garbage around the site, none of the plants were maintained. I was very disappointed for the price we paid. Also, they were unclear if we were to receive breakfast or not, but never let us know if it was included so we didn't get the breakfast. The pictures posted are not at all what the property looks like. Very disappointed.

We have stayed at this inn before and loved the historic building and the beautiful grounds. However, this trip it's obvious that the property has changed hands. It appeared to us that the new owners were overwhelmed by the necessary maintenance. The room we had did have clean sheets and the bathroom was tidy, but the room itself was dusty, the carpet gritty and their were several items needing repair including curtain rods and shutters, The grounds were in disrepair. The gardens were overgrown and the lawn was really just clumps of dried up grass that didn't appear to have seen a mower in a while.

This property is advertised as a 5 Star Inn, but it has not been properly maintained. Our room had severe mould issues, no screens in the windows, broken door handles, doors that didn't close, uncovered electrical outlets, curtain rods coming out of the wall, etc. When we complained to the front desk and asked for a refund (they charged us $300 for this room!), we were told to email the owners, which we did immediately, but have never received a reply.

The young couple managing we’re sweet, but probably had no budget to make any improvements or provide any but the minimum amenities. The inn was obviously once lovely, but it had long since passed its prime; it was quite sad to see such a lovely old building in such disrepair & so ill-cared-for; whoever does the cleaning seriously need some eyeglasses!! I’m sorry to say I would not recommend Victoria’s Inn to anyone!

It was a very beautiful and interesting older home. However, the grounds were unkept; the overgrown weeds needed to be removed, the grass needed cutting. The overall look needed much care. Since we booked through Expedia, we were told that we could not get the accompanying breakfast, that we would “have to pay for it and it was expensive”. Not the best welcome. The rest of our stay, we met up with “closed” signs at the reception. Even after knocking at the door, no one answered. We were unable to speak to anyone when we checked out at 9:00 am in the second day as the “Closed” sign was once again on the reception door. Our rooms did not get any cleaning services. Our needs were not met.
