Motel 66

There was this enormously loud, squeaking noise which seemed like coming from trains that I heard constantly throughout the night. The sound came on every minute, so I only managed to sleep for 3 hours. Also, there were hair on the bed sheet and the bed sheet looked and felt like someone had already slept on it.

This is an old 50's style motel, updated for the most part to modern standards. Pros: clean, spacious, quiet, comfy bed, good free WiFi, low price, standard amenities of fridge & microwave, good cable TV menu, good air conditioning.. Cons: no in-room coffee, no place to put toiletries except around sink, or on window sill & toilet tank top (i.e., no shelves or cabinet or vanity top); no shampoo, although the liquid soap located by the sink worked OK. (note: I usually have my own "just in case," but had neglected to bring some). Shower stall missing liquid soap dispenser, although they did provide the little hard soaps. For the price (thru Hotels.com), I'd stay again for an overnight stopover, unless i found a better deal.

Clean but nothing fancy, a comfortable bed and a hot shower. A fair bargain.

Classic 1950’s style no frills motel. I had a photo shoot to do out in the desert and just needed a clean simple place to put my head to rest as well as for my crew. The price was right and the owner and her son were very nice and accommodating. I could tell they have worked hard in restoring this place. Hopefully they will upgrade the shower stalls in the future. I will definitely come back again.

Clean room appears to be a "Vintage" motel back from when Route 66 was the main road. Nice change of pace form the current hotel/motel types. Since this motel dates back many years there are NO little tubes of soap or shampoo but there is liquid soap in the bathroom. Refrigerator is a nice touch it even had a freezer section.

I arrived early for check in. My room wasn't quite ready yet. I was upgraded to a king size bed with a kitchenette. As I was traveling with a bad back and anxious to get to California, there was also a recliner chair in the room that really helped me. Staff was wonderful, and very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at the motel 66. The front desk clerk was amazing unfriendly. I lost my medicine, and the day after we left I called and she even went through the garbage looking for it the medicine. I would stay there again. It's a little old, but it has all the basics you need for a great price.

Tiny, inexpensive, clean and easily accessible sleeping accommodations.
