The lift was not working our whole stay with staff telling different story’s of it’s repair date , we were on 4th floor , room very shabby damp stains on walls and cieling , knob fell off shower straight away , was never repaired shower cubicle dirty , no housekeeping or towels was told after that you had to hand your key into reception to get room cleaned , was not told of this when we arrived and there was no information in room about anything, not even a phone number for reception which we had to guess , asked for towels to be taken up to our room twice and no one arrived with them although we’re told they would be delivered, had to get them ourselves from reception 3 hours later , very hard work going up and down 4 floors and many fire doors daily only good thing about hotel was location and bar

Condition of the room was terrible: broken window panes, huge damp patch on wall, barking fog opposite....genuinely so terrible and dilapidated i walked the fire exits and checked the fire extinguishers in fear.

Sad hotel but staff fab

What a fab position and location this hotel is the staff martin at bar Louisa at reception were so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful great service. However the hotel needs alot of tlc sadly it is very tired and dated but has wonderful potential we were given a room over looking the sea and this made it . I would stay again when it’s updated . But the staff really made it

In desperate need of a refurbishment

Unfortunately there were no other hotels available so we did not have a choice. After booking we were told by Tracey from the hotel (who was very helpful and pleasant) that there were no sea view rooms available so we were moved however was offered a bottle of wine for the trouble. (so sorry but it was awful). Very disappointing hotel, in desperate need of a refurbishment. We did not eat there and checked out before breakfast somewhere else. I'm afraid I would recommend to find somewhere else.

Dirty run down damp and discussting

We were very dissapointed with the hotel as it was very run down and dirty. Our room had damp and mold in the corners and the carpets were stained. Facilities in the room were very basic even though we paid extra for an upgraded room. I have honeslty stayed in better hostels

Imperial hotel. Great stay

Great location for the beach and town. Staff really friendly. Nice sized rooms with sea view. Definitely going back again. Only problem is there is no on site parking available. We were lucky to find a space in the side street.

Property very tired generally whilst our room had a significant water leak from the ceiling of the bay window which soaked our coats which had been draped over the back of the chair that was directly underneath - this only developed when it started to rain but was obviously a long standing problem as on inspection the ceiling was extremely stained. No apology from staff or offer to reduce the bill...
