The Cliff Hotel

Beautiful resort, amazing dining, in an unreal location.

The check in staff was very unprofessional and didn’t make us feel welcome at all. Everything else was amazing.

If you are looking for a getaway where you don't feel crowded with people this is the place. First the positives. This boutique hotel is beautifully landscaped and situated on 5 acres. With only about 30 rooms and villas you are assured of a low number of guests. In fact we never saw more than a dozen at a time. The pool area which is beautiful never had more than one or two people in it. The resort is not on a beach but rather it has a cliff sea frontage as the name of the resort suggests. This rocky area is dotted with concrete pods where your lounge chairs sit. These pods are connected wit wooden walkways. You can jump into the water into an area that is roped off and climb back up using a ladder.The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. We were in a junior suite which we found spacious. The bathrooms are also a good size and well appointed. The room was on the first floor and had a balcony with seats which you can walk straight out onto the grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The property has security guards as well as a manned gated entrance. The food was excellent and service good. There is a spa and a gym as well as a salon. The hotel is a one and a half hour drive from Montego Bay airport and you are responsible for getting to the resort at your own cost. It cost us US$200 each way. Thats US$400 ! A hotel of this caliber which claims to have been voted best in the Caribbean in 2017 should consider a shuttle to the Hotel

Only problem was the booking is the same game a lot of Hotels play when booking . I started booking at 350 per night , by the time I did the reservation the sites/hotel had bumped that to 375. I booked it early and realized that the daughter was not going to be with other family but coming with us and I asked for a cot … the hotel didn't have a problem with that but it added $100 per night to the reservation. I get to the Hotel and " oh the extra person (sleeping on a cot in the room) is $100 per night PLUS TAX AND HOTEL FEES. It just burns when you change something its extra charge … When the hotel changes something why don't they deduct ! whatever... nice staff, facility and cheap hotel tricks .

Beautifully designed rooms with excellent bedding and amenities. It is a very private hotel and is located at the very end of the West End of Negril. It is as the name indicated situated on the cliffs and as such does not have beach access. If you're looking for a quiet and romantic getaway The Cliff Hotel is an excellent choice.

The staff. O’Neill, Rochelle, Shadae, Paul, Ramona- and the entire staff made us feel special, every hour of every day.

Stayed at The Cliff hotel from 9/1-9/6 and it was a great experience. The staff was lovely and accommodating and bent over backwards to help you with whatever you needed. Was sunburned one day and the gentleman at the front desk literally walked home and got me a piece of his aloe that he had at home!!! Seemed as though we had the whole place to ourselves the first few nights because that’s how quiet and serene it was. I believe there may have been a few other rooms occupied but it didn’t matter there was still a full staff waiting on just us. We’ll probably bring snacks next time because it’s a little dicey to walk outside the hotel but that’s because we’re used to sidewalks in the U.S. Champ and PT took us to and from the restaurants we visited and gave us insight about the island along with out taxi driver from Antonio tours. Zest restaurant on the property is amazing. Property is beautiful and away from all other resorts so the drive was quite long but beautiful nonetheless. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing time.

The Cliff Hotel staff made you feel like family, and were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and the property is beautiful. The restaurant was situated above the ocean with a wonderful view. The pools were really nice and the cliff side ocean access was unique. Really nice stay!

Everybody was very welcoming and they provided excellent service and food. Honestly can’t wait to go back.
