Blue Bay

We booked this property last minute based on it’s outstanding reviews. However, we were extremely disappointed for a few reasons. Firstly, the only good things about this property are it’s excellent views and free access to kayaks and paddle boats etc. There is no lift at the hotel. There are six flights of stairs from reception to the beach. If you’re staying on the ground floor, you’re doomed because you’ll have to climb up 5 or 6 flights of stairs everytime you want to go out or want to get anything from reception AS THEY OFFERED NO ROOM SERVICE. We needed water and they asked us to come to reception to get it (they do help you with the luggage though). This is a big point to consider for someone who can’t climb that many stairs. Next is housekeeping. Our second day, nobody came to clean our room/replace toiletries till the afternoon. We had to call the reception and ask for it. Only then they sent someone to clean our room. The toiletries were exceptionally small in size. The toilet part smelled like a public toilet (not sure what kind of products they use to clean). Thirdly, there is no restaurant on site. You’ll have to go out to eat every time. You’ll need a car if you want to stay at this property as the walk to city centre is long. Overall, it costs much more than it offers.

Great location, with your own private beach and full use of peddle boat, kayak and floating chairs. Friendly staff. Breakfast, lots of variety and delicious with stunning views.

It is a lovely hotel and has the major advantage of parking. It operates a shuttle on a regular basis which is great. The staff are really polite and friendly. They allowed us a departure time extension on our room which was really appreciated.

Cefalu is so beautiful and this hotel is in stunning location in a cove. Couldn’t be more friendly. No reason to stay anywhere else, unless you are looking for more “elegant” vibe such as found at La Calette next door (which is also excellent, but inferior views)

Beautiful location only negative feedback is wanting to charge for beach towels and requesting a late checkout. Too much focus on making money and not accommodating customer . Breakfast was very good along with location!

It was beautiful and the beach was very nice! There was nothing I didn’t like!

Fabio was fantastic. Made us feel at home. Our only regret is that we should have stayed longer

Lovely hotel. Got their own beach. Check in and check out real easy. Would love to stay there again.
