The Bull Inn Streatley

The two of us really enjoyed our stay last weekend. Good service. Staff are friendly. We were very satisfied with the food including our full cooked breakfasts and BBQ on the Saturday. Overall we were very pleased with the accomodation and facilities. The room and ensuite bathroom were clean. A good location. There are a couple of nearby pubs and restaurants over the bridge which is a lovely short 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Places nearby to visit: 1.8 miles is Beale Park and 5 miles away is the stately Englefield House. We would stay and eat here again. We recommend it.

For the price very good with friendly service and decent size rooms with good amenities - what yuou would expect. My only complaint was breakfast as one sausage and one bacon slice a cooked breakfast does not make - need at least two slices bacon to qualify for me. BUT they were friendly and brought extra toast on request without any issues.

Room was ok but needs refreshing - especially bathroom. Some mould round bath, sink had not been cleaned very well. Mattress was lumpy but one side was ok. Service & food were good.

A great pub with good value rooms. Don't expect Premier Inn style, rather recognise it is an old traditional building, where rooms fit the books and crannies of such. Superb service, great landlord, Marsden pub food, with deals on every evening. Bed was comfortable, room slightly tired looking but more than adequate. Shower was good, but do take own shower gel, shampoo as none normally provided. Breakfast was good, and set us up for the walking the Ridgeway. Sure we could have stayed at higher end hotels nearby but they'd have cost twice as much, and what we needed was a bed, breakfast, and value for money food, with good drinks. It is a good value for money stopover on the Ridgeway.

Room was dated and damp . Some plug sockets didnt work . Loose loo . Luke warm water . Shame . Pub great !
