The hotel is really clean and it is a whole experience and history to stay there. The only thing that it wasn't good it was the bed. It was really uncomfortable. Queen bed with something really hard in the middle, it was like 2 beds together.

It was a special experience to have stayed in a monastery. The museum was cool and the room was sparkling clean. It was convenient as well, with walkable distance from a lot of restaurants and shops. I would recommend this hotel to others!

Sleep on clouds
I chose the authentic experience and the bed was absolutely amazing. I hope the nuns get to sleep in beds that comfortable. I was hoping to sleep alongside the nuns in the same corridor, but was told they live in a different building. I loved the peacefulness of it. I was slightly misinformed about the morning service and apparently walked into an area that was closed. I was expecting a slightly different breakfast, but the comfy bed made up for it.

It was like stepping in time into a history lesson of the province of Quebec and the history of Quebec and the place that religious orders had in dispensing health care. The property was impeccable, quiet and felt very serene. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast, taken in silence at the request of the remaining nuns, was delicious. This is the perfect place to come to to get restored. The location is perfect.

This hotel is in the heart of Old Quebec and within walking distance for the Upper and Lower level of Old Quebec. You’re walking uphill for the most part, but was a fabulous way to see and experience this part of the city. We came in by train and walked to the Monastarie, which was a little tricky to find, but once we found it, we discovered it was our own navigating that was at fault. The Monastarie was gorgeous and unique. My husband commented that there were not a tv in the room, but he didn’t really miss it. As a guest you have free rein to explore the building, wander the halls and read and see the history of the building. It was a quiet/serene place to stay and was interesting to see that nuns are still present in the building as we saw them from time to time. Our room had its own bathroom, king size bed, which was very comfortable and a great view of the harbour. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. *****
