Our room was very warm/hot and the staff kept claiming that the air-conditioning was working or fixed. It never was. Finally after many complaints and with the help of an Italian friend they moved us to a room that was fine.

Great location and clean rooms

Great location. Just extremely small elevator! Also make sure you get an updated room. They do have older rooms.

Good location for visiting the sights of Rome

This hotel is in a good location being just a short walk from the metro, on a busy street and with a taxi rank opposite. Our room was described as 'deluxe', but did not feel it. It was small, faced in to the courtyard (no extra space), and consequently was dark. The bath and over-bath shower were fine for the average sized person. Our room number was marked on a tiny sticker, all the others in the corridor had room plates. I booked through Expedia and pushed the button for the more expensive option that included breakfast, However despite the receptionist acknowledging "with breakfast" on arrival and showing us the location of the breakfast room, my daughter and I were publicly turned out of the room on the first morning as we "hadn't paid". The Expedia receipt did not show breakfast so I could not prove anything, and we had to do without. And when I questioned the "deluxe" nature of the room I was told my room Was deluxe. Personally I do not feel this could be a correct description. I have never stayed anywhere that leaves polystyrene cups out for their tea and coffee facilities, and plastic cups in the bathroom. I think this is a reasonable place to stay if you want a budget hotel in the heart of Rome but would not recommend it to anyone as a deluxe place to stay.

Hot Rooms, no real in-room climate control

First three nights in Rome after arrival from USA. Originally I had picked a different hotel through Venere, with Venere calling us just before boarding plane in states for Rome, saying there was a problem with my booking and Venere needed to book a different hotel. They chose a comparable hotel in same location. The hotel experience was a bad one due to the room air conditioning. Rome was hot. The hotel already micro manages the climate control by requiring the room key to be inserted to turn on the ac or lights. But on top of that, after 30 minutes or so the ac would return to a default setting of 25C with no airflow....it felt much warmer than 25C which is about 77 deg F, but that's too hot for us to sleep. Every hour or so we would wake up hot and have to turn down the AC only to repeat an hour later. I had the maintenance man come up twice but said the AC was working properly. This place prioritized saving a few euro over guest comfort--misguided priorities in the guest services business

A great small hotel , not five star but very European in heart of the city , rooms were spotless and a good size , in fact upmarket for the price ,breakfast was good apart from orange juice not been fresh and from a machine if they changed Thor would make people very happy , Tarif for rooms very reasonable and eataries abound this area , so for value and rooms would rate 9.5 door your self a favour book this hotel
