We arrived late to the Cedar Lodge Motel. Upon arrival we noticed we didn’t have enough towels so I had to go to management to get the right amount of towels. Then when we moved the pillows around on the single bed we noticed dry blood stains on the pillow case. We then pulled the sheets back and saw that there were blood spot stains all over the bed sheets. I went back to management and they asked me if I wanted to have the sheets changed. I proceeded to say I wanted all the sheets changed which included on the single and queen bed. When the sheets were replaced the queen bed sheets had holes in them. Hi I requested to have the bedspreads changed as well but that request was ignored. So we sleep the night just sleeping with a sheet and it was cold and wet but we didn’t want to use the dirty bedspread. There were blankets in the cupboard but they were smelly so we didn’t use those. The bathroom shower head was broken, the small toilet bin was filthy and the bathroom window sill looked like it needed a good clean. The kitchen cupboards and fridge had dead insects and what looked like some kind of insect droppings. We were unable to change the settings on aircondintioner remote and it was set at 24 degrees way to cold for the cold and wet weather Townsville was experiencing. It was a very uncomfortable stay and I will never stay there again and would highly recommend others don’t stay there, considering it was the same price as a 4/5 star motel.

Loved how friendly the office man was. The cleanliness of the room and motel overall. Would definitely recommend this motel to others and will definitely stay again. Very happy with the motel overall.

It was. a motor inn probably 1980's style with great parking off the road. Roomy , clean, comfortable. It had a kitchenette which was well stocked with utensils, plates cutlery etc. The owner was friendly and helpful. It was quiet! Close to James Cook Uni shops and lovely river/parklands
