Hotel Golden

Giuseppe was awesome, he greeted us warmly, prepared us a very detailed map of the city and when he learned about the reason for our visit upgraded to a room facing the Aurelian wall! The room was good in size, and comfortable! The hair dryer was not too powerful but was told that We could always request a better one if needed. Whoever was assigned to clean the room didn’t leave us fresh cups though, left an old used one. At one time, forgot to leave us with a towel. Breakfast was great prepared by Mama Teresa, very satisfying! Over all we are satisfied with our stay. Until next time!

Definitely enjoy my stay here. The family own hotel really makes you feel like you are at home!

Not very big but I was only staying a few days and I was one person so I didn’t mind.

Nice hotel in nice area. Moderate walk or short taxi to attractions. The family was very friendly and helpful and gave great ideas for places to go and things to see.

Hotel Golden is a fantastic family owned and operated hotel just outside the city centre of Rome. The biggest plus is the family staff, who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast is decent without being exceptional, however they provided us with some excellent dinner and gelato recommendations, both close to the hotel and near tourist attractions. The option of a laundry service is highly appreciated by long-term travellers and at €10 is worth it for the quick turn around. Our room was spacious enough for two and provided everything needed. Overall, whilst Hotel Golden is a little out of the way (public transport is available nearby, but requires some walking), it’s a fantastically cheap option , which offers excellent service. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Rome on the cheap!

Great family hotel, all very helpful with all aspects of your stay in Rome, in good location 200 meters from ViIla Borgohose Park Only issue, is that at the end of a long tiring walking day it would be good to have a lounge / terrace , and possibly small bar, where you can sit and relax, and chat to guests about there experiences in Rome.

Nothing fancy, but everything I needed and was looking for: great location that was safe, secure and within walking distance to most attractions and numerous eating establishments. Cleanliness and a friendly, helpful staff that was top notch, with a daily, quality, wide assortment of freshly prepared breakfast items. When I return to Rome, I’ll stay here again.

Skip going to the major hotels and go straight to the Golden Hotel. This is a family owned hotel, located in the heart of Rome near all the major sites, metro and restaurants. Giuseppe and his family will treat you like your part of their family. From detail maps of how to get to each location in Rome, to a home cooked breakfast each morning that will get you ready to tackle the day. The rooms are clean and neat, spacious and comfortable. This hotel is the gem of Rome that you don't want to miss.

The Hotel Golden is a family run operation, and it is staffed by the owners/family. They take the time to give advice about getting around, restaurants, and highlights in the area. The free breakfasts are always well prepared (by a sister & mother) and they are delicious. The maid service is professional, and the hotel has a laundry service they contract with that will do a LARGE bag for 15 Euros. This is our 2nd stay with them, and when we go back to Rome, we will stay with them again.
