Hotel Saint-Nicolas

Beautiful location right beside the river, lovely hotel with great restaurant where you can taste a local pike. Spacious room with jacuzzi bath, fast wifi. Although old building, well kept. 20-30min drive from Luxembourg city centre. Overall great place to stay, recommend.

Very old hotel not representative of pictures couldn’t use pools as green and murky. Everything needs updating like somewhere from the sixties. Asked staff to call a taxi took almost an hour to get one into centre. Clean and in a nice area so it’s a shame.

Due to a delayed flight we arrived at the hotel after 11pm. There were no doors open and no instructions. Despite the fact that the hotel had our email address and would have known that we hadn’t checked in when they closed they didn’t tell us what to do when we arrived. Luckily we saw a man going into the side door and followed him. There was nobody around from the hotel and fortunately he noticed that there was a room key stuck to the inside of the door with our name incorrectly spelt on it, otherwise we probably would have ended up sleeping in the restaurant. The room we had was very spacious however it was oppressively hot with no air conditioning and smelt damp when we first opened the door. We couldn’t understand how it was so hot in the room given that it wasn’t particularly hot outside or in the corridor outside the room. There was a fairly ineffective ceiling fan above the bed but the excessive heat did mean it was difficult to sleep. The food and beverage selection for breakfast was decent and fresh. This included a local Cremant. This was primarily a cold selection but there was also scrambled egg which was tasty. The lady working in the restaurant serving breakfast was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very good, right on the river and also only a couple of minutes to the restaurants and to the boat departure point. The Caves Saint Martin wine caves were also only 10-15 mins walk away. There was also free parking available.

We stayed at Saint Nicolas on our way to France but I could have stayed ...great pool, friendly service, good breakfast. Room on roadside was a little nosy but that’s the only little minus point

Nice old fashioned hotel. Very modern elevator and amenities. Manager and staff were extremely accomodating and helpful. Great spot to meet river cruise boat tour which begins in Remich.

Chambre salle, pas de rideau de douche dans la salle de bain, et bombe à insecte disponible dans la garde-robe! Le SPA a été rénové, et est très spacieux, par contre pas de permanence pour utiliser hamam,...

Très bonne localisation, dommage pour l'état de l'hôtel devient très vieux...pourtour de la piscine avec reste de matériaux de chantier, des centres à la petite tente au bord de la piscine complètement sale??? Gros problème d'organisation avec les petits déjeuners??? Une seule fille ( avec ses lunettes) était très bien???

Fin morgenmad, de fleste spa afdelinger var lukkede Ingen aircondition, hvilket gav nogle meget varme nætter. Flinkt personale. Vi fik en fornem flaske hvidvin ved afskeden. Hotellet er dog ca. 20% overpriced.

Oude, gedateerde kamer. Bedden rolden van elkaar weg en matrassen waren helemaal gebobbeld. Geen vuilbakje, vieze handdoeken en uitzicht op een gebouw dat ver op instorten stond terwijl we uitzicht op Moesel hadden geboekt. Kamer die we geboekt hadden was niet meer beschikbaar. Ontbijt erg karig. Kregen de helft niet op tafel gezet en het beleg hing onder de broodkruimels dus waarschijnlijk van een ander tafeltje gebruikt en op een nieuw bordje gelegd.
