ok for one night, if you like rock hard beds
needs decorating. old worldly, old carpet no underlay, pointless having worn carpet may as well leave the floor boards bare. lots of splits in the wood and behind the beams for creepy crawlies to come out at night. curtains are falling off most of the curtain rails. bed as hard as stone, didn't get much sleep had to get up early as I was aching all over from the hard mattress, so much so I had a bad back all day which led to a bad stomach. stood by what I thought was reception, it wasn't she was over the other side of the room by a desk and didn't bother to call me over. ok, 2 flights of stairs to room not a problem, but I was carrying a small suitcase, an overnight bag, a shopping bag and my back pack 'hand bag'.. she didn't offer taking any and on the way up the stairs she announced that the bannister was very sturdy to which I replied 'can't tell as my hands are full with the luggage!' still no offer of help.. may I add that the reason I had sooo many bags was the fact that my two elderly, partially disabled, parents were with me and I was carrying their luggage too, it was pouring with rain so two journeys to the car was not an option, no mirror in the bedrooms only in the bathroom, no power socket to dry and style hair. towels were VERY hard. upside, bed clothes clean, you could smell the washing powder down the stairs!. and was quiet when we were there. didn't eat the food, though you could smell the fatty breakfast two flights up.. yeuch...

Another excellent stay in this great value hotel. Room, staff, breakfast all very good. Plenty of parking. Will always use when in the area.
