Comfort Suites Miami Airport North

The hotel is being renovated. It’s was not noted anywhere on the site. We found roaches and dried blood. There was graffiti on the walls. Management was of no help. And rooms were NOT ready at check in

I booked this room , after comparing to other 2.5 to 3.5 star hotels because it had a guest rating of 8.5. That rating couldn’t be more incorrect. Their airport shuttle only came after waiting for more than 45 minutes. We called the hotel several time but they could never give us an eta, just said they would call again. At 45 minutes we took an Uber. The trash cans at the front door were over flowing, the lobby was extremely unclean the floors were extremely dirty and sticky. The room was not cleaned before we arrived. The carpet was stained, the seating was dirty and stained, the bathroom mirror was filthy, their was blood on the counter top, the shower was filthy with hair etc... the floors hadn’t been vacuumed and had stuff all over them. The floor carpet was wet in about a 10’ radius of the AC. The AC was set to 48 degrees but the room temp was 78 degrees and never cooled down. There was what looked like a bullet hole in the window. The mattress were wore out and need replacing due to sagging in the middle. The TV remote didn’t work, the elevator was filthy, the brown bag breakfast was a stale muffin, a mushy almost rotten apple, and a good bottle of water. Upon initially entering the room we asked to be moved to a new room, they said they couldn’t do that but we could leave if we didn’t want to stay (11pm) or we could stay and get a discount. I still haven’t seen any discount. They did let us use their disinfectant cleaner. Filthy should be shut down, It’s COVID.

Dirty floor, dirty upholstery.

I checked in late New year's day. When I arrived, the clerk was not at the desk. I waited for 20 minutes for him to come back. Turns out he was the same person who nonchalantly walked in front of my vehicle (walking away from the property) when I was pulling onto the street. Check in once he arrived was smooth. When I got to my room, I found that the batteries in my remote were dead. I tried to call, but no one answered. I went down to the desk, only to find the clerk was gone again. While I was waiting, 3 different groups of customers came in looking for a room. They left because they were tired of waiting. After about 30 mins, I saw the security officer walk by outside. I chased him down and it was hard to get his attention because he was on his phone. I told him I had been waiting for a long time and needed some batteries. He walked into the lobby and told me that sometimes the clerk has to go to a room and he would be right back. I said I had been waiting for more than 30 minutes and I'm starting to get pissed. He then went outside, up to a car on the street, and out pops the clerk. It took an additional 20 minutes to find batteries. When my employee arrived, he waited for 25 minutes for the clerk to come back. This time the rep was somewhere behind the property. This doesn't include the countless prostitutes that were in and out of the place. The room was comfortable, only plu If this young man is working, don't waste your money. There are better options in Miami

I think they had bed bugs my family and I have a rash all Over our body and there was no water

The room had a blood stain in the entry to the bathroom. Carpet was dirty and the mirror in bathroom had a black line of spray paint on it. I had to leave at 6am for a flight & someone boxed me in my parking space costing me 30 min. Until they could find the person to move it. This hotel is not setup adequately for the amount of guests.

We chose this room because we are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers so we needed a pull out bed in addition to the 2 beds in the room. The couch to the pullout bed was dirty. The mattress had springs sticking out of it. It was stained and disgusting. The bedding looked like it had been pulled off the bed and was thrown in the closet. There was no comforter for it so when I called to the front desk to get one, I was told “there’s only a thin sheet for that bed”. When I asked again, I was told the same thing. Hey They expected the person who slept on that bed to be comfortable with just a sheet? Again, we booked for 5 people and the bathroom only had 2 towels and 2 washcloths. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

I was disappointed at first because I thought I booked the Comfort Inn next door which is fairly new. When I walked in the hotel that I booked, I was very impressed. The hotel was very clean and the representative was very nice. The room was spacious and cleaned. My only concern was that breakfast was not served. I understood after being told told it was because of the virus. Something small was offered to hold us until we went to visit family. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel based off of price and airport transfers. The hotel is not running airport transfers (only 6am-11am and 5pm-10pm) because of COVID. It is not far from the airport (7 min) but for $17 each way I would’ve booked a nicer hotel that still offered airport shuttles. Hotel is simple but nice. Staff was helpful and kind. We requested a late checkout (12pm) and maid service was knocking at our door with a do not disturb sign telling me we had to leave. She walked away rolling her eyes. Areas for improvement for sure.
