City Hotel Rembrandt

Nice hotel with welcoming staff. Great location with lots of great choices for food and drink. The only negative was the room size and odd layout meaning there was no desk to work

Our stay at the Hotel Rembrandt was exceptional. The room was spacious and bright and had a small balcony, and we had great experiences with all of the staff. The location was central and close by to all of the local areas of interest, canals, eateries, train station, etc. Very walkable! We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for making our stay in Leiden so lovely.

Location was great—near train station and also restaurants and stores. Rooms were nice. A little stingy—when I told the manager there was no soap in my room she said they don't supply soap, just shower gel in the shower! But then she found a mini-bar of soap for me.

Loved the room. Cute & suited the stay. Staff were friendly & helpful. The location is just perfect Can walk to station. (5 mins)

Charming boutique hotel in good central location... literally walking distance from train station and also town centre. Room was clean if a bit basic but bed was comfy and staff helpful when I arrived and had forgotten to tell them I was allergic to feather quilt and pillows. The only thing I would like to suggest is that they should do a small brochure for inside the room explaining how the air-conditioning/ TV / WiFi/etc works/ breakfast times and the usual stuff you get in a hotel.( So that we wouldn't have to keep asking questions!) Staff were, on the whole,very friendly and helpful and good English speakers. We would stay again.

Friendly staff , clean and well maintained accommodation. I had room 206; single room. Quite small. Single bed with firm mattress, clothes rack, chair and bedside cabinet. Room was quite cold even when I turned the thermostat up to 23c. Power needed the key card to be in a slot by the door, fortunately reception gave me two. Lighting was not great, two ceiling spots and a bedside lamp. The lightswitch by the door was awkward to use, not very responsive. Bathroom had a good shower. Large mirror over the basin and plenty of shelf space for toiletries. A hairdryer was supplied too. Bathroom lighting isn't great if you are using the mirror as it is behind you. A kettle and paper cup are in the room with coffee/tea/sugar. Now the bad part - Noise: no soundproofing at all, people walking and talking in the corridors are very audible and i was woken up at 5.30am by deliveries to the place whose courtyard was overlooked by my room. (see photo). Location is good, not far from the station and close to plenty of cafes and shops. VFM - would have been ok if I had paid about 30% less.

I had a perfect stay t Hotel Rembrandt in Leiden. I was there for a business meeting and made may reservation last minute. The front desk stuff was very accommodating to my needs. The room was comfortable and cozy. Very affordable price for the quality of this boutique hotel. I would only suggest to improve the lightings and the light controls.

Nice hotel, conveniently situated in the middle of Leiden. Good welcome from friendly staff. Parking on site very limited. Be prepared to park the car in a local gated facility a few minutes walk from the hotel. €10 per night (Sept '18) After looking through pictures of the hotel, it would seem that our room was not representative of the rest. It was extremely narrow and dark. The door almost opened against the bed. Overall, however, it was very clean the bed was comfortable.
