QT Gold Coast

As been a previous member and stayer at QT ive never once received such bad customer service I remember speaking with Rachel from reception and she seemed like she didnt want me to stay she judged me on how i looked and treated me differently evan though ive actually stayed at QT in the past . I had to cancel my bookings to which i did . And rang them today to see if my booking was stil there she said no and then also said no one else was available to talk . I asked to speak with supervisor and she said he was busy . So i felt like i had been shrugged off Number one tip ( never judge a book by its cover ) I won't be staying here anymore due to the customer service Its the mistreatment for me and ive decided to write about my experiences She didnt offer any solutions

The QT is in a really great location. The modern hotel has a lot to offer with a variety of restaurants in particular Yamagen. The pool and spa is a great place to spend your time.

THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL…IT IS A 2 STAR

This is not a 5 star hotel and there are much better hotels located in Surfers that you can stay at and at a cheaper price. I would avoid this hotel at all cost. - The hotel is showing its age, the plaster on the walls (in the rooms) is falling off, there is rust in the bathrooms and a musty smell when you walk into the rooms - If you are hoping to use the services of the hotel then think again. During weekends they close the outdoor area for private functions from 3:00pm. The main Japanese restaurant is closed on set days - Buffet breakfast, if you do have breakfast then make sure you go early as they literally kick you out at 10:30am despite if you are still eating - The biggest issue is the pool area, they only have 25 sun beds that you can use for free that has a capacity of over 700 guests at the hotel. So in theory about 4% of guests can use the pool area. Not only that but the shocking thing is, if you do want to be guaranteed a lounger at the pool for the day then you have to pay starting from $50 - $350 😮 - Green policy - don’t be fooled by the $10 per night discount if you don’t have housekeeping clean your room. They tell you that it’s per night stay upon check in when in reality if you are staying 2 nights then it’s only one voucher. Staff - are hit and miss, some are really friendly but there is certainly a need for training and customer service, particularly on reception as had a bad experience with a young male at reception

Super stay at an amazing resort. Staff very accommodating and plenty of great restaurants and bars to visit. Pool area was superb, rooms clean and spacious. 10 minute walk to Cavill ave & 2 minutes to the beach. 10 out of 10
