Hotel du Boulevard

Only downside was it was like a furnace on a hot summer day / night. Otherwise good.

Got upgraded and loved our room. Check in is easy. Really liked the luggage storage and the croissants in the lobby. Great kitchen set up and also coffee/tea in room very nice. Location is great right near station and not too hard to walk to main sights.

Unfortunately the room was very small and stuffy, and with a bar outside too noisy until late

We were traveling for pleasure and the hotel was absolutely the perfect location. Close to the rail station with a nice walk past the Milan park to Ouchy or up the hill to old town. There was a great restaurant across the street and many cafes etc. within 2 blocks including the buffet at the rail station run by Tibits.

Very nice, clean room. The bed was very comfortable! Great location. Checkin is a bit odd since there's no lobby, you pick up a phone and they give you a lockbox code for the key. But really that's no big deal once you do it, since the attendant on the phone was completely understanding of the awkwardness and very helpful.

excellent check in staff, although i didn't see them, as via internal phone. Room quite dated, but good bed, refurbished shower usable room facilities, good value for money, close to transport links. Super room heating, close to shops and town. Quiet for a town location

Being on first floor, there was lots of noise as people can in and out, which was disturbing during the night and woke us up. The front door slammed. Also, several times people tried to enter our room.

The room is smaller than most of the room in Switzerland. Unluckily, my husband and I slept not well in this hotel. And, the location is not good as it is far from train station and nothing good to eat near the hotel.

It was not listed on Expedia as an "automated hotel" no staff... no services other than cleaning. Hostel style laundry so had no washing done. Luckily I brought enough with me. When things go wrong u call service number. Problem when i arrived there were about 6 police officers surrounding area and I thought it was hotel under siege. Entrance in side alleyway with no lighting or people seems like a bad as really at night. Definitely would not recommend for females, area was uncomfortable at night when returning from conference wearing decent clothes relative to people in the area so was tempted to dress down for business meetings. Bathroom was not very good either. By end of stay I had a bad back although bed did not feel that bad. I did get used to it but I would not recommend it. Colleagues stayed in better places for similar price.
