Stayed in Edinburgh for a short break with my partner. The Holiday Inn was fine but we found the standard double bed to be too small and the fresh fruit and continental meats breakfast to be somewhat limited. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the cooked breakfast / cereal selection to be fine also.

Had a lovely stay however the rooms are looking tired and could do with an overhaul. We had a quiet room to the rear overlooking the car park. My sister had a better room at the front with brilliant views of the city. Theres a bus stop just outside and the zoo is next door so good location.

Lovely 3 night stay, staff are very nice. Rooms are not very spacious, but clean and beds are comfortable. though we had a room that faced the parking area, the trees around make it nice. Speaking of parking, there's limited parking at the premise, so if you stay over the weekend - might have to park at the zoo parking lot and pay a fee as hotel parking is first come first serve. Overall, very convenient, with bus stop to city center right outside the hotel - easy to get to city center yet away from the hustle and bustle.

The public areas in the hotel are great - recently refurbished and modernised. The restaurant is good - and the children’s buffet was definitely a win. It was nice to have the pool, too. The accommodation rooms were clean but basic. They need a bit of an overhaul.
