Best Western Plus Caldwell Inn & Suites

I call to get pricing and availability, Ask for 2 beds And they said they only had suites Are available, so I went online I found 2 beds for decent price

Clean. Bed was like a rock. Checking in, very polite. One person running counter and phones. Kept having to wait. Got key and sent upstairs. Keys wouldn’t work. Went back down , waited, got new keys. Went back up. Keys wouldn’t work. Got new room assigned. Went up. Keys wouldn’t work. Went back down. Had to wait while she made three more reservations. Got new keys. Finally got to our room. Bed was way too hard.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful and the hotel being unable to provide a continental breakfast did the best possible to replace it it something else.

It is a nice place, we enjoyed the rooms. I would like to have had the room cleaned everyday. I know they didn’t do it because of COVID but we stayed in other hotels and they cleaned each day. It is a comfortable place.

This was booked because of insurance. I had to be out of my house for 4 weeks. The girl at the desk said they don't rent to locals (which was on the web site, except it said the exception was an insurance related stay) I gave her my claim #, the insurance companies name and the claim adjusters name and phone #. I sat there while she called. He explained to her I was paying instead of the booking service which charges a very large fee (up to 30 % and they were reimbursing me weekly to make the dollars stretch farther. She rejected my stay and would not let us stay. Every Hotel in the area within 20 miles was booked solid. I had no place to go. I have a physical disability and was left high and dry. I slept in my car the first night and then stayed at a friends the other .This place is a joke. The counter person was very unprofessional. When I asked for a refund, she said she couldn't give it to me. Because I did not cancel. Why would I cancel when I paid to stay. Even ruder, while I was calling Best Western (main office she sold my room) if I would have been able to straighten it out, it would have been for nothing.

We were in the Caldwell area for a soccer tournament, but also had some business in Nampa and Boise. This hotel was very convenient to the freeway and the town of Caldwell. Rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast offered hot coffee and option of warm breakfast burrito, which is better than many hotels today. You currently need a reservation to use the pool, and we were unable to do so due to time constraints, but the pool looked larger than many other hotel pools, and also looked very clean and inviting. We will stay here again if we're in the Caldwell area.

Bed felt just like a board. Worst night sleep ever! Staff was not very friendly or informative

None of the staff wears a mask. Peak COVID rates and no masks anywhere. My room wasn’t very clean. Not confident staff took cleaning or precautions serious.

Key kept locking us out. Had to keep going back to desk to get it reset. Didn’t like the way breakfast was done in the grab and go. I don’t need anything hot but prefer to choose my own pastry and fruit rather than have someone else pack it in a surprise bag. Ppl at desk were nice enough, just a rundown building and expensive for the area.

The hotel is nice. The staff exceptional. It was disappointing to see The Magic Recipe restaurant closed down and Burger King the only close option for a meal. Then they were doing a tile/carpet cleaning of the lobby with vans in the late afternoon early evening so could not check in for 30 minutes. Other than that room was pleasant and clean.
