Hotel Palacio

Lovely hotel, superbly located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Old town, great room, perfect bedding, efficient AC, good breakfast and very helpful front desk staff! Would certainly stay again!

Very disappointed, no security, no elevator, no assistance with luggage. No assistance with taxi, no dining after breakfast

Hotel Palacio is well located place in Paramaribo. It is nice to go out and see these beautiful wooden building. Hotel very clean, nice breakfast, the staff very friendly and helpful. Internet, was really slow, hard for instance to keep on an online call.

This is the best hotel experience I've had after staying at hundreds of hotels on 5 continents. Their staff is truly amazing--caring people who genuinely care about their guests and do everything they can to make your stay fabulous. It shows in the details--fluffy towels that put the Westin to shame, kind touches to help guests find their way, wonderful conversation for solo travelers. I could go on an on. They truly helped me understand Suriname, things to enjoy here and just made me feel super welcome. The property is impeccably clean, the AC and wifi very strong. European and Asian tourists will be shocked at how large and spacious the rooms are. They are even large by American standards. Smokers will feel at home on the front patio too. The property is in the middle of the historic district with plenty to do and many restaurants and other things within a quick walk nearby. The bank next door has a automatic teller machine that dispenses local currency and works with foreign ATM cards. I highly recommend this place, and do not say it lightly that this is truly the best hotel experience I've had in 50+ countries.

The staff here are fantastic. They were all very friendly and helpful. I had a nice room with a Kingsize bed and a view of the street. The wifi is excellent. It's in a fairly convenient location but it's about a 7 or 8 minute walk to the bars and restaurants around the water front. This wasn't a problem for us though. And taxis are very cheap.

It was our first visit to Suriname and Hotel Palacio We were met by Hasan,professional and out going at 4 AM after a 67 minutes drive on the bumpy road from PMB airport. Speed bumps most of the way on the straight 30 miles road from PMB, that was different. We did not want to stay in one of the large expensive Hotels we wanted a residential section.The central location was very important to us. Hasan mentioned that there is a Safe. I thought o great, because I was pickpocketed in Lima years ago. I Googled Hotel Safes, You should too it will surprise you. No problems with anything at Hotel Palacio everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful.The included Breakfast was good, I called the Hotel with Skype before our trip and talked to Schiaka, not sure of the spelling,sorry, Shianka your were very helpful by correcting the confusing Shuttle arrangement.The Hotel was probably remodeled, especially the tile stairway, classy! Overall No complaints,Thank you all.

Hotel within walking distance of most of the sites in town as well as shopping and restaurants. Staff was very helpful during my short stay. No elevator and even lobby one story above street level.

Great location right in the center of town and hotel staff was very accommodating with early check-in and helping us sort out our itineraries each day. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to spend a few nights in Paramaribo.
