Clayton Hotel Leeds

When arriving the lovely receptionist told me I had been upgraded to a superior room. I wouldn’t like to have seen the standard room, the room was very basic. The bath didn’t look inviting, online stated toiletries and a deep bath so I would have expected some sort of bubble bath but the 2 toiletries provided were attached to the wall and therefore not suitable for the bath. There was a black chip in the white hand basin and the toilet roll was clearly very cheap. Once eventually getting to sleep I did sleep well until woken by other guests voices (not speaking particularly loudly) just after 6am! The TV didn’t have many options and none of the buttons bought up a menu. The quit was particularly heavy and pillows very soft. I cannot praise the staff enough, nothing was too much to ask and room service was a great service. Reception were helpful and went above and beyond. It’s such a shame that budget options have been used in this hotel because the staff are superb and the reception looks fairly grand. Probably a great hotel for business trips but not for relaxing.

The staff is absolutely amazing which makes you feel welcomed, comfortable, cozy. They have restrictions in place for the Covid, you feel safe, but their smiles makes everything better. I have actually booked another week whilst I’m in Leeds.

We had a very relaxing stay and was pleasantly surprised at how well the hotel has managed COVID Staff are fabulous and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Next time we come I might have to steal a mattress.

Great stay, comfortable room. Convenient location for Leeds city centre. Parking at the hotel a bonus, but not too expensive: £10 a night. Good COVID precautions generally. Breakfast buffet a bit busy with new restrictions. Staff could be a bit clearer on what residents need to do around self service

Was arranged to stay on first floor, the shower head water pressure is really high, that makes my skin hurts, had to pay for the parking where I thought It was free from the previous reviews. No cable beside the bed to put my phone on charge. But the service was good.

Good location, good check-in, quiet+clean+comfortable room and good breakfast. Will stay here again if I ever need to.

Spot on. Breakfast was well organised, but ended up a bit cold unfortunately. Overall though very enjoyable, very attentive staff in the bar.

Nice and clean hotel. Staff are always customer friendly. Had Covid health and safety standards in place and hand sanitiser every where.
