Zhejiang International Hotel

It is NOT oriented for international guests. Virtually no staff can help you about anything. I thought Expedia had sold me a non-smoking room but I was forced to pay more to get a non-smoking room. Plus I bought breakfasts for the entire stay but I was stopped at the entrance of the restaurant by a staff and then interrogated by a non English speaking staff for 5 minutes on the first morning and a similar situation on the next morning,too. Some staff are smiling and seem to try but they should not accept those who do not speak their language.

Good location, nicely decorated, and a very nice sized room. However, the walls all over the hotel were made of a horrible material which everything stuck to when touched. Made the hotel look very dirty and fingerprints were everywhere. The smell in the room was also unpleasant. Staff were not very welcoming when I checked in as they didn't speak to me despite out of the 2 of us, I was the one who made the reservation. Instead they spoke to my partner in Mandarin so I had no idea what was going on during the check in/check out process.

They were unable to give me a room. They offered me a room which was next to the highway, extremely loud, room was dirty and smelling bad. The bed was used before and got hairs inside. I never got such a bad room. They did not gave me any alternative room as they were fully booked. Really a bad experience. This hotel should not be part of hotels.com

It is an ok hotel if you are not too fussy. Overall experience for me is not too bad but it is not easy to get a cab from hotel.

This hotel is worthy of recommendation, it is in an excellent locality (Wu Lin Square) and there is a metro station close by. The hotel breakfast although 50RBM per. Person, is one of the best hotel breakfasts that we have had in Asia, certainly many options for westerners. Our room was spacious and very clean. WiFi was acceptable and the English speaking TV was also to our liking. The front desk was very helpful and there was usually at least one person who could communicate in English. The West Lake is only two stops from the metro and is an interesting place to visit, boat rides and tourist stuff. The Drum Tower is also close by (15RBM by taxi) and the village around it is also worth 3 to 4 hrs to visit.

Nice hotel in downtown Hangzhou. The hotel room is big enough for family of four. The hotel allows to smoke inside. You can smell the smoke in the hallway. I guess this might not be an issue for people who smoke. The hotel beds are hard.

We were 4 people reserved three rooms in this hotel . Rooms are Very clean, modern, and specious Staff very friendly and professional They had English speaking staff name Crystal who was super helpful, knowledgeable and professional. She was very kind on offering us umbrella before walking outside since weather was rainy , she would jump in to call taxi fir us anytime we would plan to go out. She gave us advise in where to go to explore. Info on restaurant, sight seeing and many more. I would give her A plus. Hotel is located in a very upscale neighborhood , close to bus stations, and subway. There is Starbucks near by, beautiful mall with lots of restaurant choices . I would rate this hotel 10 star. We had great time here. It Felt like home. If I go back to China someday, definitely this would be number one choice for me and my friends. I hope my review helps many out there who are looking for a great place to stay. You will be very impressed with this hotel. I would like to thank the hotel management and staff specially crystal who gave us a great experience and best memory of China.

Good value for a spacious room at a convenient location. Near to good eating places and shopping.
