Hotel Verdi Pisa

Staff were great, hotel clean and tidy very close to river and all shopping short walk to leaning tower .

1.The shower drain was blocked while I was there - I requested that it be properly cleaned which did not happen. 2. The lock grip of my rooms door was loose and was attached with only one screw - when I requested that it be fixed, the congierge explained that it could only be done the next day - really for the front door to a paid apartment. 3. the inside of the fridge was full od dust - I did not even put my bottle of sealed water in there. I really think the property needs serious maintenance!

It was the festival of light and everything was blocked. Nice stay, rubbish breakfast

Room was very spacious and warm, despite the high ceilings . Very friendly staff. Bathroom was in bad shape: it was smelly and the shower doors were falling down. In general the hotel needs some renovations. The wi-fi was working well most of the time. Breakfast was ok. Best feature was location!

Hotel Verdi provided a good value for a visit to Pisa. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is located near lots of small bars and restaurants and it is very easy to navigate your way on foot from there as it is very close to the river. The room was large, comfortable and clean, with fridge and safe and air conditioning. The hotel is in a typical old building and has an air of 'shabby chic' which I found charming and authentic. The staff were always on hand to answer questions and offer assistance. There was a buffet breakfast too.

Location close to historical site eg birth place of Galelio with information boards. Easy reach of river - a good marker point. Many and varied eating places nearby. Easy 20 minute walk to Piazza dei Miracoli (leaning tower and Duomo) and interesting medieval street all roun. Maybe not a traditional "tourist" location but the real Italy.

Hotel is in an old nice building. I wish bathrooms and some broken items can be renovated/fixed to add more value into the hotel but most hotels in Italy are neglected. I got a big room for the family and furniture was very very basic. It is not located in the tourist area but in about 5 min walk you start to hit some restaurants and then the main river (Arno). The taxi from Airport to the hotel costs about 15 Euros. Breakfast was a buffet style but very simple. The Wifi worked after the receptionist rebooted the router.

Single room was small but air-con was good. Complimentary breakfast is basic.
