Alsi Resort

The staff was amazing!!! However it was not worth the $130 a night. To start, the beds have no frames, sat on the floor and the mattresses were probably 10 years old and not to par at all. The towels were worse than standard hotel towels material and their size hardly dried my 7 year old, let alone mine or my husbands bodies. The sink was coming off the wall in the bathroom. The whole place spelled like a muggy cover up of an ash tray. The rooms have no AC. You would think that would be ok since it’s “cold” at the beach year round. This issue is, it is muggy, stuffy and gross without any kind of ventilation. I do understand with Covid they stopped the free continental breakfast, but they have a restaurant that opens at night. Why can they not open for two hours in the morning or offer room service so people can eat? We had to get in our car and drive 10 minutes to get breakfast, just a little frustrating when your not planning on leaving the room because your craving off the embankment. They have fire pits out behind the rooms and picnic tables, but there are no lights at all in the back. Sitting by the fire pit was a nice idea, but getting splinters from the non taken care of wood and spraining my ankle because the huge grass field is uneven and full of large pits was a disaster. Don’t waste your money, spend $20 more a night at the hotel down the street.

Location, location, location! , did I say location.

The location was excellent, room was clean and the staff was great. The hotel could use a little updating such as magnified mirrors for us baby boomers, ports for charging phones and general yard maintenance. I love these hotels from the 60’s and definitely think we should preserve them. I would love to know the history of this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Not a ppace i would stay agian. I was locked out if my room for what seemed like forever. Once the clerk came, he was unable to make a key to my room. So i was unable to leave my room after a certain time. Even though i was there to shoot milky way photos. Even when the morning came i was unable to get a key. Shower also went from hot to cold numerous times. No A/C but there was a ceiling fan. Mattresses were also placed on box springs and then directly on the floor. My advice is nit to stay, inkess you want a shower you cant control, uncomfortable bed, and to be held hostage in your room unable to leave when you want due to inability to get bqck in.

I loved the place, the people were very helpful, they have a microwave and mini-fridge, a spectacular view, it was clean. I will gladly return to this place.

The restraunt did not have good food,the potatoes were the only thing that taste good. Plus it took a hour to order, and a hour and half to get our food, we were the only ones there at first nice lady thou. The table was small and on a tiny corner, the beds were nice, the view outstanding, there was a beach and beautiful ocean not to far away. A bit noisy. Over all the views were the best.

No A/C. This should be posted in the website prior to purchasing or bookings a room. Also beds are too low. No bed frame. The mattress sits on a box frame. 😡. For the price of over $140 I would expect a more up to date building and room. The view was beautiful

Nice hotel. Clean. Needs some updating, but overall good for the price. Beds are comfortable. Sheets and towels could use upgrades - they were pretty rough. Awesome to have the fire pits right outside! Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we couldn’t use the pool or eat the continental breakfast. That’s ok. We will be back. Super close to the beach - right outside the backdoor, or if you want an even larger beach - it is just a short walk.
