Zanhotel Europa

I stayed in this hotel in 2006 and remembered it fondly. While I usually shop around, no need, I knew I wanted to go back. It eas a great value. I arrived early at 11:45 AM, but Don at the front desk gave me a room right away. He also recommended restaurants and a great supermarket 3 blocks away. The room was a good size. Bed was comfy. In room safe is a us. It was very quiet. The bathroom is large, with nice anenities. There are two shower heads, with strong water pressure and perfect temperature. The great breakfast is what I remember best and it was just as fantastic. The quality of the local ham, moryadell and cheese is a delight. The filled croissants and delicious cakes are so wonderful. They have all the usual cold items, eggs and bacon. The hotel is close to shopping, restaurants and walking distance to the major sites. It is two blocks from the train station, so easy to do day trips to San Marino and Ravenna. I love this hotel and would definitey return!

Great breakfast in the morning and convenient location close to train station. Rooms are a bit dated and due a refurb. Can be difficult to control temperature, thus room can get quite stuffy at night. No noise issues. Hotel did try to charge me twice (one through card prior to check in and then again at checkout) but I put it down to a (honest) mistake by checkout clerk though time was wasted trying to solve this. Overall, good for a short stay but if you’re with kids or on a longer stay, the place may get to you after a couple of days

Very convenient for the main train station which is why we booked it. Extremely easy to find. the place is clean but a little old. Bathroom nice and bright but rooms a bit dark. Breakfast is average, had to miss first day as it only opens at 7am and had to be out for the trip at 6.55 Walking distance to the centre of Bologna, Bologna as a city has only discovered it has tourist potential in the last few years. Great hotel. Very nice staff and best shower I’ve had in awhile. Not a car walk from the market either.

L'hotel, situato in posizione comoda sia per raggiungere il centro storico sia per recarsi alla stazione ferroviaria, è dotato dei comfort base richiesti per una struttura con 4 stelle. Va tuttavia evidenziata la scortesia del receptionist al check out ove, a fronte di un'incomprensione relativa al pagamento della stanza (credevo che Expedia avesse addebitato il pagamento, invece la carta di credito era stata data solo a garanzia del pagamento), tra l'altro immediatamente riconosciuta dallo scrivente con tanto di scuse, sono stato trattato in modo alquanto sgradito. Il receptionist non si è neanche degnato di indicarmi dove fosse il deposito bagagli se non riferendomi genericamente che lo stesso si trovava alle spalle della reception. Sono un viaggiatore abituale ed è la prima volta che vengo trattato con sufficienza. In fin dei conti c'è tanta gente che vorrebbe avere il suo posto di lavoro, con un sorriso e professionalità maggiore.

Mi è piaciuto molto. Pulito e molto accogliente, vicinissimo alla stazione centrale di bologna.
