Auberge Place d'Armes

The auberge is beautiful, clean and well situated. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had to take our luggages in by ourselves, since there is no valet parking at the moment. That is ok, but we had to park a little far, since the street on wich the auberge is on is a pedestrian street. That was really the only down side. The rest of our stay was fabulous.

I honestly can’t believe how amazing this little hotel is. We were on the top floor in the loft-like suite and this room was awesome. Comfy beds and pillows, great coffee maker and its also cool the way they decorated it. There are lots of stairs so bring your ‘A’ game. We packed a little too much and the stairs were fun. Right in the heart of old Quebec City and there’s so much to love. The history, the food, the customer service, the culture are all so rich here. And this room was also priced so well. The value was second to none. Oh and the jacuzzi tub absolutely didn’t suck!

Excellent small family-run hotel in an historic Vieux Quebec property, located centrally across the plaza from the Chateau Frontenac, with wonderfully renovated and charming rooms (20 rooms in two adjacent buildings). Good French Bistro downstairs and continental breakfast available at a reasonable $CDN 9.50. Friendly service. Would highly recommend.

Very clean, excellent bed, huge towel what I loved. Excellent location. A chocolate and espresso (Nespresso) on the bedroom to receive us. Everything was perfect.

An updated historic property with a view of the Frontenac. Great bar and restaurant on-site. Love the heated floor in the bathroom. Staff is attentive and friendly. They accommadated my request for a first floor room since there are no elevators. Magical week the first week of March- no crowds!

The rooms are classic stone, brick, and wood recycled from the original property design, the beds don't squeak and are kept very clean, the attic bedrooms have slanted ceilings that are charming but posed serious injuries several times because the rooms are very small and it is impossible to avoid them without great care and strange angles, our toilet piping soaked a large portion of our room carpet and even more of the hallway and no staff members noticed this for 2 days until we brought it to their attention that we believed there was a leak. Staff was very prompt and courteous with any issues we experienced and quickly moved us to a new room, but no additional reparations were made for the inconvenience at the late hour this occurred and the new room was far smaller. Overall, a great experience, but small courtesies were overlooked during that inconvenience.

Great spot that is right in the heart of the action. Be prepared for stairs to get to your room. Restaurant was pretty good too!

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, comfortable bed.

A charming property with amazingly friendly staff and the perfect location in old town—it's across the street from the Frontenac, which charges more for rooms lacking any of the charm found at the Auberge Place d'Armes. There are NO elevators so listen to them when they tell you that; our room was on the 3rd floor and the climb was brutal, but we didn't mind. The property is pet-friendly and our puppy was welcomed by the staff, as well. Will recommend to friends and stay again should we return to Quebec.
