Novum Hotel Aldea Berlin Centrum

Close to U-Bahn so easy to get around. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful reception team. Only downside was that we had a very dodgy internet connection but overall great stay.

Weird shower that floods bathroom. 80F heat in room so need to have open window to let in the cold winter air to counteract along with the city noise. WiFi did not work.

The non uniformed male cleaner with a face mask came into my room unannounced whilst I was sleeping. I went to reception to complain, asked to speak to the manager, I was told he was unavailable and asked for him to call my room once he was, which he didn’t. I was completely disregarded made it seem as if I was overreacting, didn’t get an apology or an explanation, all they had to say was “did he knock?”. Below basic hotel, I wouldn’t recommend.

I've stayed her before - it is ok if you get a really cheap price otherwise go elsewhere. My room had no bedside lamps so you had to walk to the bed in pitch darkness (these cost a few euros from Argos or Ikea), no kettle, no fridge. Just 10-20 Euro per room could make a difference here.

Staff was helpful with our requests. Hotel is dated and furniture not that comfortable, but it is well located and good value for the cost.
