El Cortez Hotel and Casino

Really enjoyed the room but would rather have a window view of the city and not the roof and wall of hotel.

Rooms are clean. It was fine. Wish Cortez had better restaurant choices.

I stayed at the EL Cortez because it's an easy walk to the Bunkhouse saloon, where they have good bands that I like to see. The service at your hotel is great, your RESORT FEES are low and, that part of fremont st. is nicely going though it's own Renaissance period. Fremont st. and EL Cortez are the place's to come back to. And lest we not forget all the nice eateries that are building there. The Commonwealth, Evel Pie, Beauty bar and the Eureka just to name a few.

I reserved on line and got a queen bed. When I got there they gave me a room with a queen need across the street from the main hotel in the Cabana suites. For being my first time at this hotel I didn't realize they had another building. I found it to be a little inconveniat considering I thought I was staying in the main hotel itself. Like I mentioned before I got a queen bed but the room was fit for a full size bed. Hardly any room to move around. They have nice t.vs with free WiFi a/c work well but window was blocked off from outside with no veiw. Cleaning didn't get done one day. Had to call front desk and get toilet paper and towels sent up. We were already back in our rooms in the evening when the cleaning lady showed up but we asked just for the toiletries and towels because we had already made ourselves comfortable. I would not mind staying again but definitely not in a queen bed room or in the Cabana suites building. Ill specify to stay in the main building with a king bed.
