Best Western Hotel Ronceray Opera

First this place was difficult to find. We went inside “passage Jouffroy” and nowhere could we find a best western sign through all the shops and store fronts. Until we finally went inside “hotel ronceray”and went to 1st level. We checked in on November 22 around 10:30am we were tired and frustrated and the Asian receptionist(couldn’t remember her name) was really rude and had a nasty attitude. The hallways were narrow. After 4th level no more elevator, only stairs. Room was small, as any Paris budget hotel. Heater worked great on a cold day, almost too warm. Beds were okay. Only complaint was shower head was not attached to wall, so had to use one hand to hold shower head while other rinsing out what was in hair. overall, fix shower head issue and fix receptionist attitude issue and it’s an okay place to stay.

Located close to major attractions and shopping district, this hotel can be your ideal base in Paris. The hotel itself is old and does not offer a lot of amenities, but the location beats all of the shortcomings.

Positives: Super convenient location in the middle of town with a M&S just downstairs and plenty of restaurants around the corner. Big Bus tour stopped right outside. Beds were super comfy and bathroom was very nice and modern. Price was good. Cons: room was up on the 5th floor which to access required going down small hallways and then up a narrow flight of stairs (luckily didn’t have a big suitcase). Pretty sure you would never escape if there was a fire! Room was quiet from the street noise, but the exit door to the stairs banged so loudly every time it opened and closed (which was a lot when staff were cleaning the rooms because they can’t get the cleaning carts up there).

This hotel is in such a great location! We had a great stay because of its convenient location and comfortable rooms. The fifth floor requires a set of stairs inatead of elevator, but I found that charming. We also had an amazing view of Sacre Coeur!! Very safe neighbourhood and great options for bars and restaurants, and the metro is steps away. If you want to see all the best sites of Paris, stay here.

A great central location with everything you could wish for in a hotel and city break.

Excellent location , near the Metro and easy approach to all direction. Clean and good service. the room was a corner room a little bit noisy from the main street. We got 2 unstable separate beds that moves freely ( not fixed on place ).

The entrance to the property through the passageway is unique and just one of the many things that endear the place to me. It has one of the single narrowest hallways in a hotel I have ever seen. Very French.

Excellent location and very near metro. Clean and comfortable.

This is our second time at this hotel. We tried another but switched back because this hotel is perfect for transportation, the service, and price. Customer service was amazing and helpful. We will be back a third time!

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk concierge. He upgraded our room from a standard twin bed to a king bedtoomwith a balcony. This would have been fine but it was very warm outside and the air conditioner was broken. They graciously moved us to another room, which still had a king bed and the air conditioner worked but there was no hot water. I’m sure if we’d contacted them they may have try to rectify it but it was late evening and we didn’t want to move rooms again as we had early start the next morning. That being said the bed was comfortable but the walls were thin. Thank goodness our neighbour was quiet. The hotel is also very tricky to find as it’s located inside the passageway with no Best Western signage.
