DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix North

The hotel was a bit confusing to locate. We did not see the Brixton sign. That was because the name on the building was Doubletree. We called to see if we were in the right area and were greeted with a message that it was "formerly Ramada, currently Brixton and soon to be Doubletree". The entrance was still being worked on, which made it awkward to get in and out of the hotel. The lady at the front desk was delightful and quickly put us at ease. Since we were looking for quiet and relaxation, she suggested a room on the top floor that did not overlook the pool area. It was a large room with a comfortable, but firm bed. The decor, seating and lighting left a bit to be desired, but was okay. The negative aspects were (1) minimal lighting for the mirror over the sink, making shadows when trying to shave or putting on makeup; (2) having one door that was for the bathroom AND for the closet, causing constant problems while using the closet; and (3) a warped pocket door to the toilet/shower area that was difficult to open and close.

My family was there for an emergency and Roxanne could not have provided better customer service. Her entire deamenor provided a sense of calm in our storm. There are not enough words in my vocabulary to express our gratitude for all of the help she provided for my family. In this day and age where it’s hard to find great service, we found that diamond in the rough that provided exceptional customer service. The hotel itself was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The room was super clean. We had an opportunity to eat at the restaurant and the food was very good too. The location is perfect, set in a round about of multiple stores and food places. It’s location is just right off the freeway and very easy to get to. Should I ever make my way back into this town, I will make sure to come back! Thank you Roxanne. Thank you.

Read the reviews, they are pretty on point with the dated hotel. They have made a few updates but nothing one would consider a much needed overhaul.

Nice hotel. Signage was a little confusing but overall a nice stay. My husband and I would stay here again if in the area. Conveient location to freeway, food, and stores. Room was clean and spacious. Slight negatives were walls are a little thin and could hear neighbors, also people at the pool.

My stay was not the way I had expected or paid for. I paid close to $300 for a one night stay and believe my stay was not worth that much. As checking in the front desk the employee was not sociable or made us feel welcome. Apparently there was a little league baseball event taking place in the pool area that night, that we were not told about. As my wife, myself, and friend tried to go to the hot tub; the jets did not work properly and it was way over capicaty because of the event and we could not relax the way we had hoped. There was lack of employee control for the kids, they were playing in the workout room with the equipment and business room computers at 11 at night. As my wife tried to get ice for the room the ice machine was not working and we called down to reception. They said they would fix it then hung up without asking if we needed anything else. We checked to see if the machine was working later and there was just a sign saying machine out of order. Overall the hotel was nice but we did not have a good experience for the price we paid.
