Hotel Frantz, BW Premier Collection

Interesting hotel renovated tastefully. We had a superior room - a little smaller than expected and not too much storage but we got around all that. Bathroom although chic is in my opinion a bit style over substance - no room to put your toiletries and though the shower was v good it did leak and the bath mat ended up sodden every day but again we got round it and improvised! V quiet room on the third floor despite looking out over the side street and the hotel is right by the Slussen Metro stop but we would never have known. Perfectly located it’s an easy 8min walk to the old town and is also easily walkable from Central Station in about 22 mins. Breakfasts are plentiful and there is good choice both hot and cold. Staff are lovely and helpful although we did nearly lose the will with one receptionist who we asked for recommendations for local restaurants. It took 3 asks but we got there - she was not at all rude but basic stuff like a map & a few recommendations are pretty standard - it didn’t however taint our opinion of the hotel. One thing that might be more of an issue with others but didn’t bother us too much so this is an observation - the room cleaning wasn’t brilliant - the toilet seat still had marks on it from soap suds spilt over from the sink (bathrooms are cosy! and if you moved the paper pad on the desk there was quite a bit of dust around. As I’ve said we weren’t bothered but it might be an issue with others. Beds were comfortable if a little soft.

Wonderful stay, well finished rooms in a historic building, and a beautiful breakfast space, with friendly staff.

Lovely stay at Frantz! The front of house service was so friendly and accommodating. Really great location and the best hotel breakfast I have had! The rooms are quite small with no space to hide your bag away, just keep this in mind and pack light!

Perfect for business travel. Comfy bed, big screen (with chrome cast) and amazing breakfast. I’ll be back!

Beautiful place! Great staff! BEAUTIFUL BREAKFAST!!! The chef is really doing a fantastic job!!! Really good location!! Just next to one the main train station! We highly recommend this location!

Great design and service. A excellent location so you can walk to the Old Town in 5 minutes. It’s a wonderful day out. Hotel was lovely and in keeping with the old architecture. The only issue was the bathroom being “trendy” see through glass which is never wanted. And also we were a couple and there were two mattress pads in the bed. When we asked for a double mattress the receptionist said no because “this is Sweden” which I found ridiculous. The individual mattresses meant we couldnt enjoy a night of sleep together properly.

Bra bemötande av all personal, väldigt skön säng och otroligt god hotellfrukost med allt en kan tänka sig plus lite till. Hela hotellet är väldigt fint och mysigt inrett, allting känns verkligen genomtänkt. Var någon fläck på en av kuddarna och täcket, men det är verkligen det enda jag kan anmärka på. Kommer definitivt att bo här flera gånger!

Väldigt nöjd överlag. God mat, Skön säng, trevligt bemötande och underbar frukost. Det enda minuset är nog den unkna doften av gammalt hus som ju är svår att komma ifrån. Man får väl se det som en del av charmen av att besöka ett hus från 1600 talet.
