Great, friendly staff working in a tattered place

Staff I talked to ahead of time and during stay were extremely helpful and friendly; great customer service. When they get all the updates they’re promising, I would stay again. The hotel was clearly not kept up properly. There is new management and they said they’re updating many aspects of the hotel, but in the meantime it was just in terrible shape. They definitely were working hard to keep it clean and the room didn’t feel dirty, but the things they couldn’t clean, like the layers of paint, the stained yellow tub and the bubbling wall paint left me feeling very uneasy. I woke up extremely congested, perhaps because it’s pet friendly, perhaps from whatever was lurking behind those paint bubbles on the wall. I believe they are making updates and I think it will be great once they do as long as they get down to the root of the disrepair and don’t just try to cover it up or paint over it. Bed was fine, sheets seemed relatively new but cheap. They were already pilling. Like I said, room seemed clean to the level they could clean it.

Beware!

Badly in need of a major renovation. They seem to be doing some maintenance, given that we woke up to the sound of a hack saw just outside our room at 8:30am on a Sunday! But the maintenance they are doing seems to just be keeping the wheels on. Check in was delayed. Check in time is stated for 3pm. We finally gave up a little after 4pm and left for dinner and came back later. We were told this was due to them getting their cleaning done. But given the state of the cleaniness, clearly they should have spent more time! Remote was disgusting and caked with crud. Hand prints and smudges on the headboard (gross) Rooms were stuffy! No air conditioning! We were told the entire building has to be set to heat or air, no control of that at the room level. We were offered box fans! Bathroom door had a hole punched in it. Door handle falling off. Carpet was stained. They highly advertise their game room. The entire courtyard middle of the building is the pool and game room. It is the focal point. Yet the 2 arcade games they had were out of order. One of the pool tables worked, but was missing balls. There is a cool bar area - oops - shut down because they no longer have a liquor license! Also the drawback of this set up is that every noise echos theough the entire hotel. You will hear the kids playing air hockey and screaming in the pool. They advertise "free full breakfast" but that does not include any eggs or meat.

The room was ok. The chair by the desk didn’t work (couldn’t raise it) When I took a shower I lifted the T for the shower and the water was still coming out of the spout along with the shower.

Be careful

The staff was very good. The building was disgusting. There was a oder in the room that was nauseating.

The best, the blessing, Ron and Que thank you

It was a great experience I checked in on Saturday there were two gentlemen Ron and Que made that place the happy we all look for and need! Those two guys together make that atmosphere shine and glorious! I hope they are always there when I am coming back to stay! I would say those two guys made that place 5 star quality in every way they were helpful they were happy they were enthusiastic they were patient and I would recommend anyone to stay there because of the environment they created in the personal care they gave! I had a terrible week, but after I dealt with those two gentlemen I happy again! I would say they are so great they made that place pre-covid happy & great! It's like a whole different great world!!! A happy place with amazing people! Thank you Ron and q God bless you both!!! You both make the world a better place to be in!!! Thank you again 💝

The room appeared to be newly remodeled which was nice but there was drywall dust on the floor. I alerted the front desk to this fact but it was not taken care of, and our room was not made up during the day (we stayed two nights). There was also an issue with the shower. There was not hot water for a shower in the morning, but there was that same evening so I assumed it was fixed, but again no hot water the following morning. There was quite a bit of drywall debris on the carpet on the stairs and in the hall when we checked in late the first night, but it did look like it had been mostly vacuumed up by the next night.

Will not stay again

I will never stay here again the room had things that were broke the wall paper was falling off the ceiling plaster was failing off. And I found bed bugs
