Greenish Hotel Langkawi

The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no doubt the hotel is old but it is extremely good value. Two points - there should be more than 4 pool lounge chairs for the entire pool area. Secondly, this hotel is not in a great location. Grabs are very cheap and easy to get but this is something to keep in mind. Overall though I had a very pleasant stay.

Terrible breakfast

I booked 1 family room, 2 triple room for 4 days 3 nights. We checked in a day before christmas n we got complimentary xmas dinner. The foods not that good. Almost all tasteless except for the roasted lamb. Breakfast was terrible. Not mant choices n the foods were tasteless (fried rice/fried kuey teow), grilled potatoes were already smell n had weird taste. No jam for the bread. Only butter. Bathroom really dirty for all our 3 rooms..broken doors, no shower curtain, all the floor will be wet and ac not functioning well. With the rate that we paid (maybe bcoz of christmas, the price went high up), i was totally dissapointed.

Quality hotel near Kuah Jetty

While our time here was short, we found little to complain about during our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming at all times, with the owner/manager constantly on hand to strike up conversation or help you out. The bed was quite comfortable in our room, and while the bathroom could do with some upgrades, it was on par with or better than many other accommodations you'll find in SE Asia. The location is close to Kuah Jetty (eastern side of the island), and there are markets, restaurants, and shopping within walking distance. The breakfast spread isn't overly impressive, but that's a very minor flaw, all things considered. If I get the chance to return to Langkawi, I would stay here again.

The hotel staff were awesome at check in and throughout the stay. The hotel was clean and tidy. It is close to food and only short walk to town. The pool was cool and refreshing. The staff sorted us a cooler to put some drinks in with on one day when asked. The breakfast options were not western food so if bacon is the difference you might want to look elsewhere. We were 4 Aussie fellas so we didn't need for much. The only real negative was the shower needed a screen or curtain but not the end of the world. If you want value for money with pool and breakfast and free parking this is your place.
