The Sparrow Hotel

It was a small room. I had to sleep on the topper on the floor because the mattress was too soft. There was no top sheet and enough towels so we had to ask for those. The breakfast was terrific.

Beautiful hotel, great location, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff. We loved it. Will definitely stay there if we are in Stockholm again.

Great little boutique hotel near restaurants and shopping. A good walk to the old town, but doable, even with a cane. The hotel has the charm of a European hotel, but also has air conditioning and an elevator. Two of my requirements. There are two sets of steps into the hotel and lobby, but friendly staff helped with the luggage. Room and bath were a good size for Europe. The bed was very comfortable, it had a topper, but I imagine it can be removed for a firmer feel. The breakfast was great, warm items, breads, cheeses, and meats, and of course pastries. I would definitely stay there again.

My wife was looking for a hotel with air conditioning and an elevator. It's been a hot summer and Northern Europe was not designed for heat wave. She found a new hotel that recently opened. The top floor, Nest Rooms, were available when she booked. They had a reasonable rate and included breakfast. There may be more expensive rooms, but do go for the breakfast. It was wonderful. Beds were comfy and bath had a rain shower available. Hair dryer, iron, and a kettle for tea or instant coffee were provided. Be careful all those nice items in the cabinet are part of the mini bar and a price list is provided. This is a great place to spend your day before or after a cruise. There a some nice restaurants around the hotel, we loved the Vietnamese restaurant up the street and the soup and salad spot past the plaza as you head to the water. Turn right a few blocks and turn left at the pedestrian street to get to old town and a new adventure.

Brilliant location, the breakfast was also fantastic. The staff were very helpful.
