Rossio Hostel

Good hostel in a good location. Sharing bathroom was a challenge as not much cleaning was done.Also it was hard to find especially by taxi. Was actually easier to walk.

This place was excellent, esp. for someone who hasn't stayed in a hostel in decades. The place is really clean. The staff is really friendly and supportive so that you feel like you are home away from home. Thanks, Magdalena, Hugo, and the entire staff. I'm the one who left the ice cream and pastry for you. The breakfast was filling. Location was at the heart of Lisbon. The excellent grocery store, Pingo Doce, (with really inexpensive prepared foods, vegetables, meats, cheese, breads) was right around the corner, along with a wonderful, inexpensive buffet with all the meats, vegetables, salads you want. The only qualm about a hostel is that you're not guaranteed of a good night's sleep if your roomies are noisy or party-ers. It wasn't so bad. People are respectful. You meet and have interesting conversations.

Hotel Rossio is an excellent hostel, located in the heart of Lisbon. I stayed here for three days in Feb '19. The entire staff is very helpful, there is a new owner 'Kamal' who is doing a great job in upgrading the already-beautiful place. Rooms were also comfy and the free breakfast offered is just amazing! I highly recommend staying at this place!
