This was a great location for us. We (my sister and 2 brothers and I) were there overnight to visit our sick uncle, who is in a facility nearby. "Never will I go through this"
I called up front desk if my room is ready for checkin. The gentlemen told me yes and my room is on the 2nd floor. I asked him if the pool is indoor so my kids and I can leave Legoland for indoor swimming-- he said yes. I showed up and the pool is out door and my room was on the 4th floor. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful at all times. I enjoyed my stay very much the only negative thing I would have to say was the room was not cleaned very well prior to my arrival. Hotel is new, so yes its clean. Staff is friendly too. If you are a breakfast person I would advice you go early to the breakfast area because if you go at busy time you will not only have enough coffee or any other food you will also stand in big line. Absolutely great hotel. We had no issues what so ever during our 4 night stay while visiting Legoland and the Field of Flowers. Exceptional in every way, the rooms, the buffet, staff, free parking, free shuttle to Legoland, free wifi and internet. We felt so comfortable here and welcome. Next trip to Carlsbad, I would not hesitate to stay here. Close […] to everything, nothing we needed was more than a 10-15 minute drive the whole stay. I was told each room had itd own microwave. Little to my disappointment. When we brought our left overs with us. There wasnt. The dining room food was almost uneatable. No outlet for hair dryer also. I have never stayed at this hotel before but I will from now on when I am in the area for business. The staff was super friendly and they were constantly cleaning. Usually workout rooms have dated equipment but not this hotel. They had two treadmills that were the top on the line. I stayed for business in Vista. The parking was free and plentiful. The lobby was clean and modern. They even have a kind of small bar that stays open until 11pm. "Broken Promises"
I booked via Hotels.com and was traveling with two small children. On the website, it showed a room with 2 queen beds and a small sitting area. I called the hotel to find out if my room would include the 2 beds and the sitting area and was told... YES. I called on the day of arrival to let them know I would be arriving late and they said I had a King […] bed with a sitting area. I told the guy that wasnt the case and he PROMISED me that I would have the 2 queen beds with a sitting area. Upon my arrival... every promise made was broken. I was given a 1 queen room with a sofabed... NOT AT ALL comfortable for me or the kids. When I asked to have the Manager/Hotel Director call me... I was promised... but never delivered.
