Butterfly on Morrison Boutique Hotel - Hong Kong

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel after disembarking from a cruise holiday from Singapore. First of all, our cab driver didn't know where it was and we spent quite some time going round and round looking for it and at last, we finally found it. Upon reaching the hotel entrance at about 2100hrs, the concierge staff helped us with the door politely. However, at the reception, we were greeted by two unhappy-looking hotel receptionists, I believed they were Joe and Stefani. They talked to us in a rather unfriendly tone and didn't smile at all. Hotel corridor were pretty dark, preferred it to be brighter. It also has a really weird smell. We were given a room at level 16, really neat and cool design of the room. Bright and clean. However, a small think to note was our room was just beside an apartment building, and it was actually blocking our view of the happy valley race course. Other than that, really satisfied with the hotel room. On the last day, we spoke to Joe again, requesting if we could leave our luggage with them in the room for a couple more hours before we head for the airport, as it would be troublesome to bring it around while we walk. He wasn't compromising at all and insisted on charging us on another half a day booking. I would really hope he understands our situation at that moment. At some point of time, we managed to talk to the rest of the staff from the other shift and felt that they were friendlier and more polite. Overall, the hotel was certainly a great one, less the bad service experience I had with the names of the staff I mentioned above. I read a lot of reviews about this hotel before making my decision to book it for 5 nights. To sum this hotel up is it is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is pretty good. On my 5 night stay the view from my bedroom could just about see the end of Happy Valley race course. Times Square is just around the corner which is also […] the closest MTR station. Taxi's can be a slight problem as they can not pull up outside the hotel so when leaving I had to drag my bags and suitcase down the road and then compete for a taxi. Overall I would use this hotel again as well as recommend it. The hotel also very kindly looked after a suit for me while I went to another country for a week, which was very helpful. Close to Causeway Bay MTR (if you know the way). Enjoyed my stay there but not suitable for family with teenagers kids cos of the toilet with glass doors!

Definitely close to Times Square and Causeway Bay shops so hotel is in a very convenient location. The taxi driver at the airport did not know the hotel so a tip is to have the hotel name printed out in Chinese for the taxi driver at the airport. Service is very good. Clean hotel. though the rooms are small (which i think norm for HK hotels), they are very cosy and has all the neccessities i need in the room. Location of the Hotel is not bad, near to times square and some shoppings in the area, but we have to walk quite a distance in the underpass to reach the MTR gantry.

Room: Larger than I thought, enough space to leave my suitcase open and still be able to walk around. The TV had an extendable arm so it was easily viewable from the comfort of the bed. The bed itself was pretty large (Semi-double or queen size) and the linen/pillow was clean and comfortable. Amenities: Nothing special, pretty much the standard set […] (coffee/tea bags, kettle, toiletry etc). The mini-fridge in the room was loud and annoying. The alarm clock they had an iPhone/iPod dock which was real nice. Cleanliness: A. Very clean. No stains, cracks. However one of the towels in the bathroom was kinda crappy and the shower-stall door didn't shut properly which made the bathroom all wet every time I showered. Service: The cleaners were banging (not knocking) the doors at like 7am or something... I had the DND sign on the door but they were so loud banging the next door that it woke me up. Oh, and they were also yelling (in a rather rude tone) "ROOM CLEANING!!". This was definitely not good and I hope that the workers will have some decency and common-sense in the future. Location: Right in the middle of Causeway Bay and Wanchai (8 min walk from Times Square). The hotel stands in an area which is known to have various lighting/interior/kitchen show-rooms. this hotel is rather clean as compared to others despite the small size room. lift was slow, hotel staff did not help us with our luggage when we arrived, we have to move our luggage ourselves. well, its quite a budget hotel afterall. room corridor was dark, which personally am not preferred.

Was a great location for my trip to the HK sevens. The room was clean and comfortable and modern. A great shower and comfortable bed. I liked the free internet and having a fridge in the room.

The hotel was not easy to find tucked away between 2 shops and even the taxi driver didn't know where it was. The hotel is a boutique hotel, quirky and stylish. The bathroom was impressive and very modern. The general furnishings were good, with a comfortable bed, a love seat and desk with coffee making facility. Free in-room internet connection. The […] hotel has no restaurant facility so meals have to be taken out. We took breakfast in the south Pacific hotel next door. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Times Square mall, 15 minutes walk from Wanchai ferry station and so is very convenient for getting around. There are many restaurants within a short walk. Great rooms with very clean, new and comfortable bed. In-room free internet access was appreciated. Only inconvenience was the see-through toilet door, which offers no privacy. Fresh bottled water was provided every day. Great view of mountain and race course. Concierge staff on first night of stay 11 Mar was fantastic. We arrived past mid night but […] upon seeing us, he quickly jumped up and opened the door with very enthusiastic welcome. Quite a cheer-up for 8 tired people. Very friendly reception, cleaning and housekeeping staff. Only poor service came from concierge staff on day duty from 12 to 15 March. Smile-less face, grouchy look, just stood behind counter and won't take initiative to open door. Worse, on check out day when we came out from the lift and had 6 luggages (2 seniors and 3 kids), he just stood and watched without offering help. As the hotel had no drive-in lobby, hailing a taxi would mean having to walk 50 metres to a side street. Hotel manager said we could ask concierge to help. But when I asked the concierge staff, he just said we could do it ourselves!! I insisted he did it for us, and eventually he did, all the while with a grouchy look. This is the only unpleasant part of our stay. Otherwise, hotel is very comfortable. Lobby and room sizes are small but good enough. Local market, eating places and shopping malls are all within short walks, great for experiencing local culture. Hotel Manager Kevin is totally professional, very friendly and patient both on the phone and in person. Really convenient location. The hotel was clean, really comfortable and we got upgraded for free. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The hotel is in a great location.great service .Excellent prices.unbeatable view. I highly reccommend it! Great value for your money. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Overall we were very pleased with this hotel. The room was small (but this is the case for many hotel rooms in HK) but it was clean and comfortable. We had a king sized bed with a small sofa and a desk. There is no wireless internet but internet access through a cable (provided) was fast and free. The only downside about the room (which others have […] also commented on) was that the bed was pretty firm but not uncomfortably so. The hotel location was very convenient for the Wan Chai and Causeway Bay MTR stations (about 10 mins away) and the Wan Chai Star ferry terminal (about 8 mins away). In the past I stayed at many of the high end hotels in Hong Kong but recently have been staying at more affordable properties. When selecting a hotel I look for those which have recently updated rooms and a location convenient for walking around - with great value. The Butterfly on Morrison opened in September 2009 and offers modern rooms with simple […] boutique decor - including pedestal sinks, marble tile, rain shower, dark woods and hip colors. I stayed in the Deluxe room which are located at the ends of the narrow building so you get windows on both sides of the room. This gave the room a larger feel. While the rooms are small I did not feel cramped and had plenty of room for my 2 suitcases. The room has a small desk for my laptop and Internet access with very good speed. While overall I felt the room was clean, more attention is needed to areas not always noticed by housekeeping, such as vacuuming the edge of carpet near walls and dusting the lamps. The location is within a 5 minute walk to Hong Kong's vibrant shopping district and access to the MTR subway is in the Times Square mall, although you need to walk another 10 minutes underground to get to trains. Don't expect a high level of service. The staff was helpful but not the type to pamper you. I am not one to care about pampering, I just want an iron brought to the room in a few minutes, which they did. Because there are bus stops in front of the hotel you will need to be dropped off at the corner of the block, which is very close. Overall, a very comfortable stay. Ďalšie informácie

部屋は少し狭いが、ﾌﾞﾃｨｯｸﾎﾃﾙと言うことで　部屋がおしゃれに出来ている。 　ﾜﾝﾁｬｲ、ｺｰｽﾞｳｪｲﾍﾞｲ　などへは　少し歩かないと・・・・。 でも、また利用してみたいﾎﾃﾙだった。

2월이 홍콩에서는 겨울이라고 하는데 호텔안에 들어가니 집사람이 한기를 느낄 정도로 추운상태에서 에어콘이 가동되고 있었다. 에어콘을 끄고 온도를 올리고 더운 바람이 나오기를 기다렸으나 나오지 않아 호텔측에 이의를 제기했더니 이동용 라지에이터를 가져왔다. 나중에 안 사실이지만, 아예 난방시설이 없다는 말을 들었다. 호텔 위치나 시설 등은 그런대로 괜찮았으나 겨울철 이용시에는 유의해야 할 것 같다.

乾淨，服務貼心， 瘦瘦長長的建築， 交通雖然沒有這麼方便， 離商圈也有一些些的距離， 但是是一間蠻不錯的飯店！

为了在铜锣湾附近找一家干净又不那么贵的酒店，搜索了好些。找到这家，门脸果然小，找的都绝望了，突然看到了南洋酒店，也突然看到了酒店的招牌。花钱升级到了executive房间，弧形的180度玻璃，在白天的时候看风景好美，就是住在28层，顶层，不知道是不是风大，门哐当了一晚上，还好困了。睡得很想。卫生间不大，但是非常干净，很特别的一家

Hotellet ligger sentralt i Hong Kong øya. Det var spisesteder på hvert hjørnet, så det var mye å velge mellom. Personalet er hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Rommet er veldig behagelig og rent. Hotellet kan også sende postkortene for oss. Det eneste du trenger å gjøre, er å betale for frimerkene. Bra standard men MYCKET små rum även för att vara i Hong Kong. Gå in och backa ut..... Läget är toppen. Personalen var lite halvkinkiga och inte särskilt serviceinriktade. Bad om hjälp att ordna en taxi då jag hade mkt bagage, men se det fick jag allt ordna med själv. Inte ens dörren till hotellet lyckades portiern hålla upp åt mig. Dejligt hotel, pæn indretning, skøn udsigt fra 25.etage vær. nr. 2505 til Happy Valley stadion. Badeværelset lå lidt dårligt pga. indretningen. Venlig personale. Kort gåafstand til Times Square og Metro fra Causeway Bay eller Wan Chai.

香港の雑多な町並みが初めてでしたし、夜中に到着したのでホテルまで迷いました。causeway bay駅の一番遠いA出口からも、さらに５分くらい行ったところにあります。部屋はわりと綺麗でしたがなぜかバスルームの扉が一部ガラスで、中見えました。シャワー室がきちんとしまらず、水浸しになったり。。。 でも、素泊まりだったのでそんなに気にならなかったです。 隣の部屋との壁が薄いと思います。水道の音も、話し声も聞こえました。 低価格でしたので、おおむね良いと思います。

如果是純粹購物來的，選擇這家酒店是很好的，距離時代廣場很近，SOGO也不遠，還可以步行15分鐘到灣仔碼頭，乘天星小輪到尖沙咀。 吃飯的地方也很多。 總之很方便。

部屋が狭くシャワーしかないので居心地を求める人はつらいかもしれないですが、1人で泊まる分には十分です。内装がブティックホテルなのでモダンでおしゃれ。 エレベーターが混雑時にくるのが遅い。タイムススクエアに近く買物には便利。バスを使えれば九龍サイドにもすぐ行けます。

酒店设施很新，环境卫生十分干净，服务人员热情周到，房间虽然略小，但比较温馨，位置毗邻铜锣湾时代广场，步行至广场不超过5分钟，广场下面就是地铁站，购物出行都很方便，从大陆至香港可以先飞到深圳，从深圳机场门口就有直达铜锣湾时代广场的巴士，中间经深圳湾口岸过关，选择该酒店确实方便；酒店价格实惠，住宿性价比较高！

这个酒店位于南洋酒店的边上，是新装修的，可能为了节省成本，没有人打扫卫生，只有一个服务员，酒店的浴巾都有没有烘干的味道，和酒店的价格不符合了，下次想去试试南洋酒店，一说，出租车都知道，

很干净的酒店，虽然房间不是很正，但是设计的不错，至少东西都很全了，硬件装修都很好，洗浴用品一般。性价比还行。
